This one is a winner. By NYC standards, this is one of the best places you've shown. No tiny closet bedrooms, full sized kitchen, living room space big enough for furniture. And I love how there is a FULL bath on the main level. Very, very nice!
@FrankiesFancy
@FrankiesFancy 2 жыл бұрын
No full baths...I did not see one bathtub. It's called a BATH room because you can take a BATH in a BATH tub. It's not called a "shower room". So it's not a full bath if there's no tub.
@FireCracker3240
@FireCracker3240 2 жыл бұрын
@@FrankiesFancyAbsolutely false. As someone in real estate, I can assure you it's known as a bathroom if there is a place to take a shower, regardless of whether it's a shower or bath tub. Just like a powder room with just a toilet and sink is sometimes called a half bath. You never go look at a property that has 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms. It's never described that way. That's just semantics and is downright silly.

This one's a real house for a family. Nicely done. Good space in the living room. Massive playroom/office/guest-room/gym/whatever-and-change downstairs, and reasonable bedrooms upstairs. Plus bathroom in the entry level AND in the upper level. You'd never find something this big with this price in Manhattan. At least, I don't think so.

exactly what I was thinking. Handrail next to the wall doesn't offer the safety as one on the other side. If you're only having one, why leave a side open? The stairs to the lowest level had no handrail at all. How does it pass inspection?

The neighborhood looks decent, and the building is apparently just a short walk to the train. The living room and kitchen are both quite large - though there's no sink sprayer. Two of the bedrooms and the closets are small. What to do with the huge basement space? Maybe a home business or a media room. The in-unit laundry and the large outdoor space are worth points even though the patio is accessed via a bedroom. This one isn't perfect, but it's better than some of the overpriced apartments we've seen.

Now that is my kind of apartment That downstairs would be big enough to set up tables for my really big family for the holidays without being cramped. It is reasonable for what you get. I think Brooklyn is the way to go these days if you wan't something larger than a shoe box size apartment.. I would use the room that goes to the outside space as my home office instead of a bedroom though.

Brooklyn believe it or not is a better place to rent and buy a house or a mansion. Make sure the sidewalks are repaired or replaced br a city dept. Also less traffic than Manhattan. Check out my comment above in the comments section about Brooklyn in the Mad Men era when we took a ride on The Myrtle Ave el in 1968! My late father workd one block away from Myrtle Broadway Junction in Bushwick.

Oh yeah ...I love this one...The basement would make a great game room...you could even fit a pool table in there... a rare NY kitchen with so much counter space...great for a family that made good money, and could afford the rent...I'm sure there are people in NY that could too...that small bedroom with the door to the outside would make great office space...one of my favorite areas in Brooklyn too.....I'm not from NY but from seeing your vids I now have a favorite area...Oh I love the rustic oldness of that coffee shop it was very cool...

Now That is almost worth the $.I had a pool table,a bumper-pool table,a dart board, a card gaming table.Then an 8"sofa,an 'entertainment center/bar,swivel-chair with foot stool,80's type 'spool table',a full size chest freezer and a huge ,uh locked case all in the space of that basement.The backyard was a great add-on.

What would make this place perfect if the laundry and one bathroom was downstairs and perhaps building a wall for another bedroom.

Can’t do a bedroom down there. No windows for emergency escape. A window has to be big enough for a person to crawl through.

All that renovation and no hand rails for the stairs? WHY? Brooklyn is a very old sad and tired place covered in grafitti. Guess who your neighbors are?

Who? (I'm an Aussie. I have no idea.) Also, why does NY not have rubbish collection? That seems primitive. So unhygienic.
