This song is based on a dream/nightmare Steve Harris had after watching the horror movie the Omen 2. If you watch the original song "The Number of the Beast" video by Iron Maiden the guy in the red devil suit is now the current drummer Nicko McBrain, who is a massive Christian. Clive Burr was the drummer at the time. This is a good cover, but it can't compare to the Iron Maiden version;-) Give it a rewatch;-P

There are videos that get millions of views in an hour, the number of views had nothing to do with the lagging, I watched it not long after it came out without issue. Considering the video itself for your camera also had major artifacting, skipping this was an issue with the device you're recording on, it didn't have enough processing power likely to record and play the video, which likely means you had something else running at the same time that was intensive. If the YouTuibe video was lagging it wouldn't account for the recording lag and glitches on your camera at the same time.

Maybe you should actually look up the meaning of the song before you judge it's meaning too harshly... Also realizing he released this on Halloween I wonder if that has anything to do with it (sarcasm)... Let me summarize one thing, just because a song mentions words or phrases that have negative connotation, does not mean the song is encouraging or supportive of it. This song was originally by Iron Maiden, a band that has a reputation for using their songs to speak out against societal issues and the worst parts of human nature. In specific this song is about a person who glimpsed a vision of evil acts being performed and wishes to report it but ends up finding themselves allured and seduced by the visions in the end, it's an allegory about the strength to resist greed and sin, told from the perspective of someone who failed to resist its temptations and fell to the darker side of their nature. Sorry but I get really annoyed when people listen to metal and take a few words or phrases out of context and interpret things too literally. Most metal artists write songs with multiple layers of allegory, symbolism, irony and metaphor, it's the reason I love the genre and the reason I find many other genres where the message is far more direct a bit lacking most of the time.

@@DreadKyller I did look up the video and lyrics. Saw the story about the dream etc. so I didn’t just take a few words…. I was thinking he usually sings positive meaning songs where good wins. Victory. But my take on this was not that. But I could be wrong. But again Dan was awesome and the whole thing was awesome. Just something new to react to. He is in a way an actor/entertainer and he goes that very well. ❤️
