Everything ok Dan? We really miss your videos. I hope your sobriety is still going strong but if you have had a slip remember it’s part of the journey- no shame! Documenting this will help us in our journey. If you are just enjoying a well earned break then you deserve it brother and I wish you well. Sending love mate ❤️🙏

Attended my first CA meeting on Friday. I never imagined how one meeting could change my view and feelings. My 2nd one is on Friday 29th December. 🎉

Dan, there is a lot of love for you out there. If you feel it good, if not cuz you are in the Madness, it will be there when you return. I hope if it is something else, like say bereavement, you're dealing with it.

I have just discovered this podcast and already buzzing to go back and watch from the beginning.Grew up with alcoholism present in the family and never think it affects you until you look back. I accidentally went sober 17th September this year. Acted like a prick on a night out embarrassed myself a bit and what started as just staying in the next weekend has morphed into me not touching a drink , a line or even a cig since. Sense of accomplishment has slowly grown work life has improved currently studying through the open uni and a lot more motivated for that. Genuinely haven't missed it, have tried not to put myself in the situation where others around me are getting on it and Christmas might be a challenge. I'm sure everyone is different but seems going sober was probably something I always wanted to do, was never really one who would enjoy being drunk and coke was what I used to make me social and last the duration of the sesh. Anyway huge thanks for this as so easy to see the amount of people it's helping, wishing everyone a great Christmas!

So proud of you Dan.😢 You re changing your life...and changing the world. Keep looking into that crystal ball.❤ Also, i feel as a society we need to stop thinking addiction is different if you have money or dont? We look at unemployed mentally ill crack/ heroin addicts differently to someone like Dan? There is NO difference. If we were to point out a difference it would be the crack addict has likely went through far far more suffering. They often dont have money, a support network, or help required. Its a completely different world in that respect, and a large part of that, is because of the stigma? I can guarantee most in these comment section would see a homeless crack addict and think " junkie", but the fact is they are fighting exactly same demons as a successful businessman like Dan? People are opening up here because Dan doesnt make it look uncool. This is a positive thing in some ways but not in others? Addiction, is a mental illness. Those suffering from it behave tge way tgey do, because they ard NOT themselves. Similarly to someone having a nervous breakdown. If we aporoached this with more compassion and empathy, far more would be honest about how they feel, especially our men.
