I posted it in a separate comment going more in-depth, but I think the best way to get more likes is to cultivate a style and to shy away from trends. It's no quick fix, but I think it works.

@machajohn I'm a huge fan of cultivating community. I make sure I reply to every comment, trying to be as authentic as possible, or just a simple thanks if I'm in a rush. I also try to return love back to people who like and comment buy checking out their work and commenting on photos I like as well. Keeping social media social, wild idea right?

This style stands out right now because there’s only a handful of people doing it well. I’m hoping people that “copy” this style find ways to make it unique from everyone else’s work so this doesn’t become saturated as well. Great video!! Love the collaboration between you two.

I would agree however, this was not the first time I've heard a notable creator talking about drawing on images. I think we may see a small spike, but I don't think it will trend easily because 1. it's an extra step that most can't bother with 2. most people feel they can't draw (even if it is simple) and they feel as though drawing on the pic may ruin it. Just my educated guess by observations 😁 I think I'll give it a try though... 🤔

Chloe Mansell yeah, but it depends on the category. So I see photos like this here and there but if I look up photos that have doodles on them for example and I favored quite a few pictures. It will show more of that. So if you are used to see dark and mood photos with no doodles it is bound to stick out

I love these tips that come through, and its no doubt that drawing on photos ads personality. The inevitable thing is, however, that this will soon fall into the "everything is the same" category. I think something you've done well on your page is to not follow trends and to have a consistent style. Its undoubtedly the hardest thing to do and it takes time, a lot of it, but I think it's the best way to cultivate a meaningful audience. Great video as usual.

That's funny. I never had a full cup of coffee until my senior year of college because a friend of mine brought a coffee maker and brewed his own coffee in class while the professor was lecturing at 8am, then we took a break if anyone wanted coffee. No one got any so I accepted a cup so he wouldn't feel so alone. First time I drank an entire cup of coffee. We've been even better friends after that and he has introduced me to all kinds of coffee since then.
