I had a PT Cruiser for 8yrs. I always hated how much I loved that car. Having just started back collecting, I really enjoy "back peddling" at shows. So many cool castings. Plus, ones that are not too old, and that can be had for $3(usd), or less, have metal bases and bodies. Beautiful VW set! Love that race Scirocco GT, and the yellow truck.

My past reason for obsessing over what's coming to the pegs & needing to know what's in each case is because I preferred to pay store costs. What are they now, $1.30 after taxes? When I first started I think they were $1.08 after taxes. I'd rather pay what they cost in store than pay a scalper/reseller $3-$5+$10s/h+tax. So if I was obsessing about when castings I collect are going to be on the pegs, I could usually get them before the only other way is ebay or whatever scalper selling site. It's more fun for me to find what I want for as little as possible. But I'm just about done so I don't keep up with it anymore, I no longer obsess about what case is coming out next. They won, I'm done. Oh, & just a heads up, there is soon to be a round of 🎯reds that contain a tooned 911, Tacoma & BMW E30 M3. I know you collect all 3 of those castings. I'm not sure when they will be out or what case they will be in though

My compulsion with diecast is based on one of the main truths of life, as I see it: Ignorance truly is bliss, but only when you don't realise that it's ignorance. Looking back, it was pretty fun discovering that that, wow, there are really loads of cool Hot Wheels that I had never even dreamed existed. But having discovered this, I then found ways that I could discover more, and then I did discover more. Now that I know how to discover more, I can't un-know. At this point, the choice is: stop thinking about diecasts entirely or just keep going. Being outside the US and of very limited means, I have no chance to get hold of a lot of the cool stuff out there, but I've been lucky with older cars before and I would like to recognise cool rarities and be able to hunt efficiently. Or perhaps it's all just elaborate rationalisation... Those manufacturer themed series are really cool, I wish they'd get back to that. I have only the Lamborghini full set, but maybe a couple from other sets. The Scirocco is a GT24, built for the 24 hrs of Nurburgring race. SP is one of those debated abbreviations that's either Sao Paolo, where it was built, or Sports Prototype.

Would love to see a mk1 or mk2 Scirocco diecast. To my knowledge, nobody has made one in 1:64 scale.

Love the PT Cruiser jibe 👌😂 I used to use acetone or nail polish remover at back to loosen glue but all it left me is nice cards that I’ll never put cars back in and will eventually go in the bin 🚮

Yeah if I like the car and I try to use the solvents to remove the glue but it only works on mainlines for the most part the rest of the cardboards are too thick.

In the time between the case previews by Ministry and when cars hit the pegs, I've forgotten a lot, so there's still some pleasant surprise for me I can't share photos in the comments here, but found a nice meme graphic that in short, it's those who know little and those who know the most who say "collect how you like" while those who have a middle understanding are the ones who seem the most conflicted as to the "right way" to enjoy the hobby
