Thank you for sharing your thoughts and being quite candid with talking about some of the downsides of entering competitions and how you can feel. I loved your eldar warlocks when you first posted them and was gutted for you when you didn't win a trophy for them - very pleased that they were recognised this time around! I really love the woodelf and deer piece. Most dioramas focus on fights and while they are awesome it is great to see more sensitive pieces like this. Thank you for all your contributions to our hobby community Andy, I really value it.

Congratulations on the silver for your Eldar piece, justice is served. Still amazed you didn't place for it at the previous golden deamon. Also love the work you did for the wood elf and the way you presented the piece.

I am glad your Eldar piece got awarded a placing. The changes from the previous Daemon really do punch it up that 1% missing to sell the scene that judges indicated from earlier in the year. With such a huge bank of talented painters, I cannot imagine the difficulty placing folks on the podium. Great work Andy, always love seeing your art!

A beautiful piece. The tone, the color, the overall feeling. You look at it and can feel exactly what you wanted to convey, at least in my opinion. Sometimes it's a sea of grimdark and it starts to feel very samesie. These pieces that actually show those glimpses of compassion, in whatever form, are extremely refreshing.

1:45 not cheesy at all! Very wholesome actually. Also love the woods. It's my favorite place to calm down too.

I love the atmosphere of the piece. It’s beautiful. I think if I had one suggestion it’s that the turquoise trousers on the elf are quite bright and similar in colour to the OSL, and they draw the eye. But it’s far better than I could ever do! So glad you got an award for the eldar, they’re really gorgeous.

Agree with that critique, but I loved the colour of the trousers so much I couldn’t face changing it 😂

Always blown away at the quality of high level painters like yourself. Congrats on picking up a Daemon. What did you use for the leaves on the deer diorama?

As impressive as those other dioramas are, they need to put in a size limit because those are bit out of hand. When a diorama for a mini takes up 1/3rd of an entire cabinet it's just too big.

I really see how well Andy is improving his compositions. The snow wolves were not so good, very long scene and empty spaces. The eldar unit is okay, but could be positioned even better with a smaller base and all three pieces at different height and emphasis on the lines from their earphones. The deer was just absolutely great as a composition.

Love the piece, the colours, composition, story etc excellent work! Silly question but where did that snake come from? Did you sculpt it or was it in a kit?

Its amazing, i think the only criticism i would give is that the tree trujk seems like its too shiny but i also never leave my house so maybe thats realistic lol.

I agree with you but I thought it looked cool so left it, haha!
