As someone that has played F&B, MTG, YGO, PKMN, OP, Digimon, DBZ, DBS, Hearthstone, Card Wars, and Cardfight Vanguard. The most fun I have experienced with a TCG is the OPCG, Magic has lost it's luster to me and I don't enjoy games unless they are one on one and dislike commander as a format. This isn't against people who like the format and build janky decks but I hated seeing people saying things like "Look at my spicy build" and it was different because it didn't run a sol ring. I understand that the format has a lot to offer since it is such a large deck and singleton but from my experience if I saw X commander then it was always built virtually the same.

Depends on what you’re looking for in magic. Commander is the primary format I like to play since I prefer to play in paper but more often then not it turns into a game of midrange hell. Most people play “my fun X tribal deck” or some really broken and commander designed card like Atraxa or Yuriko. I find the most fun games tend to be when people get out of mindset of building a pile of good cards but instead actually make a deck in which every card has a purpose. Not to trash on people playing tribal or pet commanders but more often than not they just turn into really boring simic value machines instead of a interesting and unique strategy of winning.

I opened some waifu packs at a convention. Pulled a 1 out of 20 in existence windowed SSR or something thick card. I looked up at the vendor (WHO WAS THE CREATOR OF THE SERIES AND PACKS I WAS OPENING) and asked if they would buy it from me. Dude looks at me and goes: :"We don't buy our own product. I'll give you $2 for it"...... I left immediately lmao

@@F0XD1E Ya they can? They were literally selling rare cards and some other 1/200 and 1/500 cards in single binders for like $20 plus. They don't care about selling their own product. The reason it was telling was they instead of just saying no, they offered $2. If they only said no, then whatever, but At the time when I pulled it I looked up others on ebay and about 6 had sold for around the $60 mark. 100% those people knew what it was selling for, what company doesn't know what their aftermarket products are going for? So if I sold it to them for $2, once I left they would have 10000% just stuck a $50-60 label on it and put it in a binder for someone else to get. They did not care. Granted it's not like I bought a box with the intent of making money, they are literally AI created cards with popular characters on them. Just the fact I lucked out and happened to be in the position really told me a lot about their company. They also didn't react, change facial expressions, or really seem to care about the hit when I pulled it. The only comment I got was to the effect of "hey thats like one of those rare ones. cool." in the most monotone voice possible. So they clearly didn't care or know what they were selling. Probably due to it all being AI copy and paste stuff that is mass produced in new sets monthly.

Now you don't have to like the show, but the one piece tcg is actually pretty fun to play. I was really impressed when I tried it a few weeks ago. I would put it right under Commander in terms of enjoy-ability to play out of card games... then pokemon, then yugioh.

It's funny because Yu-Gi-Oh has better art then a lot of magic especially the older stuff, far better foils, better affordability with staples reprinted out the wazzo and better online versions. I will say there is too much words and the turn one wins are crap but saying it's worse than magic which is getting horribly overpriced and creatively tired is a very funny take to me. Still a die hard fan Wubs. Edit: I say this as a very long term magic player with a big ass room of cards
