Hell yeah this mod looks amazing! What a way to bring new life to the same ol' playthroughs. There's seriously no other RPG like Outward out there so another replay it is! Also here's hoping for modders to eventually be able to add some quests or such, that would be nuts. EDIT: Nvm just read the roadmap for the mod and the planned 2.0 version has "New Custom Questlines & Side Activities" HOLY SHIT THAT'S HUUGE! Seems a ways off, but still I'm hyped af for new content on this game.

There is also a mod called trainers of Auri. I recommend you check it out because one of the skill trees has a sort of quest related to it. Not exactly the same as other quests, but I found it very unique.

You should try the "Necromancy skills" mod. The mod is simple, but thoughtful and gameplay is unique.

I like this "mod review" type of videos. It shows that there's plenty of mods to play with Outward. Just a suggestion though. Maybe you could do like a weekly or monthly mod review for Outward?
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Ya it has been a while since I did one of these. I have actually had the thumbnail for this one down for three months. Just never got around to the video. I will try to make them a bit more frequent.

Ok that Enmerkar Hunter seems OP has hell. Dmg reduction without bow? Why would i equip anything else if i can fire arrows this quick?
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
I agree. it doesn't even really have a downside. I mean ya you can't do a bow and melee build, but at that point bow is just worth it to go all in.
@swanronson1732 ай бұрын
I've been playing with this today and noticed that the penalty for not having bow equipped is simply -30% to physical damage so you could switch to Radiant Wolf Sword for melee combat with no penalty, or enchant a mixed damage weapon like Dreamer Halberd with Poltergeist to turn half of the physical damage to raw, reducing the loss to just a few points. With magic you can wield a staff, lexicon or whatever for mana cost and damage bonuses with no loss to your elemental damage.

I was going to comment that Claustrophobic was an unbalanced passive since I gave you a huge boon (20% stamina, mana, and cooldown reduction) with such a weak debuff (no helmets), but then I realized real negative would be the inability to cover up your characters weird face, jk. Awesome showcase/overview of a very cool mod, those passives would spice up any Outward playthrough.
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Ya the character faces are rough so definitely a downside 😅. I think the simple uniqueness of them just makes each playthrough a little more interesting than it already is.

Harmattan is my favorite Vanilla start because you get almost instant access to Mana with no Drawbacks whatsoever. It's the perfect starting place for Hex Mage builds.

@duanefouche378 Жыл бұрын
I've played quite a few of these starts and with the way damage scales the "Elatt's Chosen", and "Wolfgang Mercenary" starts can be downright overpowered. The mercenary with a dagger build (unsuspected strength), and the Chosen using Lightning bullet do downright disgusting damage, 1-shotting even mini bosses. Also, if you use the "Trainers of Aurai" mod from Iggy it stops the damaging explosion from corruption, making the Corrupted start easier.
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Those two starts seemed really good to me so that makes sense. As for the other mod thanks for the heads up. Kinda fixes my issue with it. 10% wiggle room for an entire run is kind of rough.

Sheenshots, i think that an interesting mod for people like you would be something that converts all of the upgradeable items you have in your stash into the upgraded version when you set it as a legacy, and i think the conditions could be: 1. that it will only leave the upgraded items divided among all of the legacy chests in the game when you start the next one, and 2. it will only work if you've collected every single un-upgraded item in the game into your stash. All in all, if you've put in the time to collect everything in one playthrough, i think that at least a mod could reward you with the "perfect save" and then all you need to think about is which build/faction you want to choose for that perfect save, granted you would need to know how to back up the save folder. Of course, i'm only sorta assuming that you collect everything since i imagine that you need to, in order to showcase them in some of your videos. And since i haven't beaten the game yet, i admit that i'm only assuming that you can even collect every single un-upgraded item into the stash in one playthrough. But one can hope/dream, right?

This mod is really fun. Esp. for folks who have played previously (IMO). As a side note: I wonder if Iggy gave the Wolfgang Merc. the Virgin Armor, since it seems to be the most versatile while enchanting. Perhaps letting you make up for all that brutal lack of magic resist? Regardless--Thanks for the great video, showcasing what this mod has to offer!
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Virgin Armor has potential I will give it that. I guess the point was wolf armor would be too strong to start with, so give the player something that is at least fitting for that camp. And its still better than a lot of starting gear I have to admit.

Which one would you recommend for a Trog playthrough?
@pixelmaster9964 Жыл бұрын
Mod seems really interesting but, but the balance is terrible. At a glance, it’s pretty easy to tell which ones are worse than the others. I can excuse some of these for RP restrictions… but trader is just a shit option with no redeeming features. Priest do elatt is a bit misleading. At a first glance it might seem like a decent option, but that’s simply not the case. The best electric damage sources in the game already deal mostly, if not all, electric damage. You’ve basically just made a with a that .75x multiplier on your final damage with 0 benefits, especially for an electric build. It seems like a cool idea executed by someone who doesn’t really understand the game that well. Even survivor gaining rage boon at 50% health. Like, I understand they wanted you to be a bit stronger, but every character should have the rage boon up always anyways.
@SeventhheavenDK Жыл бұрын
Actually, Priest of Elatt is very op. I have already tried it. If you plan your build on that, find all kinds of equipment (or use the legacy chests) to boost your Lightning Damage: -A weapon (like a wand that boost 10% lightning damage from the mod of Wands and staves) with the Willow Wisp Shield (+7% lightning damage) or a lexicon (+5%), or a Scholar's Staff that boost lighting by 20% instead. -The light mender's back pack (+10% lightning damage) -The rust lich helm (+25% lightning damage). -Enchantments like Flux or Elatt's Sanctity on your boots (+5% Lightning Damage). -Blessed + shamanic resonance (+30% lightning damage). With all of this your damage becomes very op, add that every damage you do becomes lightning, so imagine stacking a sigil of wind/fire/blood and use Spark/Conjure to cause both elemental sparks, plus Lightning Strike and Blood Turret, or the other alternative using hexes and detonate them with rapture, or using the Runic spells, the extra decay damage that some of the runic spells make with the passives also become lighting damage, so it's double to triple lighting damage there. Everything that I mentioned gets stronger if you use gear that boost Lighting Damage. Because everything now does lightning damage you don't need to focus on anything else. It's actually very op, the only chore is to get enough money to travel to Harmattan for the Ley line, or venture to the conflux mountain. I have already gone through Caldera with this build, and it was really op. Even lightning resistant annoying enemies like the Gargoyles get destroyed.
@ValeriySaprykin Жыл бұрын
Question about survivor. Is rage boon permanent under 50% health?))) If so, then hunter skill line going be crazy!!! But.... with Cieso destroyed.... do you get to do main quest somehow? And other question. Other then survivor... do you get quest for light house at all?
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
It's a bit weird, but yes I think it should continue to give you the boon over and over until you have more health. As for the light house, I didn't' test if you get the lighthouse because most seem to skip the first quest steps entirely. Some starting you with a new quest to escape or something of the like. I imagine it either gives the house to you automatically or locks you out of it completely. But I am not sure on this one.
@ValeriySaprykin Жыл бұрын
@SheenShots cool! I'm in to try! First ill redo my vampire. Porcelan Fists, blue chamber, giants blood, hunter skill line and blood infuse... You follow my thought?) No time to dodge. Just keep hitting! 🤣 Fists with wind infuse? The S.P.E.E.D.

i recently tried this mod and i gotta say starting without a player house really sucks for me. im not good enough to live without a house yet but starting out in cierzo all the time gets a bit boring. even starting in cierzo but with a different "background" removes your house and im scared to join a faction right away because of the timers lol. even though they are really long timers just stresses me tf out
@SeventhheavenDK Жыл бұрын
One of the best mods ever. But I have a doubt with Priest of Elatt. Literally ALL damage becomes lighting damage? Which means if I use an elemental spell like fire, ethereal, decay or frost...then will it do lightning damage instead? edit: yes, it does. And if you plan your build on that, it becomes very op.
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Yes, it definitely does do that. Which makes it really cool. I mean hex, sigil, rune. There is a tone of potential there.
@ZealotFeathers Жыл бұрын
This is great! What happens to the starting quests? Do you go to call to adventure straight away or does it depend?
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
It sort of depends on which perk you take. But you can see on the bottom left which quests it gives you. SO if it skips one I think it gives you the beginning and end of it right away. You could always check your quest tab to make sure too I believe.

I really enjoy rhis game. Ive atarted probably 10 characters over 2 platforms and havent ever made it passed the faction quest. Maybe even never chose a faction tho have put a lot of hours in. Grinding silver....u know. Anyway im at it again, supposed to go meet homegirl in enmerkar forest but been running around building my build n such. Cant help but to go qith a movement spd/multiple pistol build bc this game involves A LOT of moving. Ive soent 2 breakthru points, 1 on bow guy in burg n one o the pistol/movement spd guy in levant. Just hate the thought of starting my faction quest and starting the timers 😭
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Factions can stress you out quite a bit, but get a lot better once you are used to it. In fact every time the quest say wait three days you have infinite time before you need to start the other step. So you get 4 times where it gives you a break and that can make all the difference sometimes.
@meganobgutzkraka2398 Жыл бұрын
me and two buddies are doing a coop playthrough with this mod, I chose to be a conflux watcher but i hadn't seen the other starts yet. seems like a mistake that Priest of Elatt starts with a chakram and chakram ability but no many, when you CAN start with mana to begin with (again, conflux watcher start). let's hope that gets fixed
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
I felt the same way. Its a great start, but without mana you don't even need to become a mage at all. And since it gives you the chakram skills it should kind of force you into that direction at least a little.

Would be cool if there were race mods. Just tack on the trog gameplay over it and you could easily play as the other sentient races like Immaculate, Giant, or even Calygrey. Sure you couldn’t wear armor or use certain weapons but who cares, the Trog can’t either.
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
Immaculate would be really cool. Since they are already more humanoid and decently strong. Also a few of them have magic abilities which would be fun to mess with.

Can you make a build that utilizes the tsar armor to its max potential
@SheenShots Жыл бұрын
I can try to put something together. If you really want to get cray try this: Tsar armor enchanted with aegis. Primal Ritualist Rune Sage Warrior Monk Buff up before a fight and then you are immune to almost all damage in the game. Any that can hurt you will do very little damage. As for weapon I would probably go tsar mace. Fits pretty well I think.
