What happened to the green bus terminal Uhuru promised will better than magafuli busterminal in Dar kkkk. He put up some makeshifts and then told kenyans it's a busterminal, na pesa imeingia tumbo Yake By the way what happened to the structures he put up on the middle of thika highway, ati rapid mass transport system where buses will have right of way, kwani RMT ina operate on highway He should have consulted with Tanzanians b4 he imparted on those two projects

They should decongest the city but the issue is that he fears losing voters by making unpopular declarations like Matatus not entering the CBD. I wonder why Nairobi allows matatus to come and park in the cbd even when they're not carrying anyone. The best model would be establishing pick up amd drop off zones where Matatus are not allowed to idle around in the cbd. This will create more walking space for the people.

The problem with Nairobi is lack of mass transport system. If only they could have got get rid of this matatus that makes the city chaotic and ugly, it could been great city like Darissalaam in Tanzania

There is a very funny discussion on that. Especially on jobs to be lost when those Matatu Saccos/Companies are removed. And because these companies have very rich and well connected guys, it is going to take a very long time before Nairobi removes them. That moment one will answer the question,.... Remove Matatus from Nairobi to where!?

​@@KimsTvKe I think that the discussion should be removing matatus from the CBD. Not necessarily stopping then from operating. The county government should establish pick up and drop off points for the different matatus and these centers should not be in the cbd. They can then ask the matatus to design schedules where they can be picking up and dropping off people. The schedules should be synchronized across all matatus to ensure that there is no traffic caused by many matatus either entering or leaving the city. Afterwards, the city can establish better public transport systems like the BRT and the metro. These will automatically phase out the chaotic matatus as people will prefer to use the better public transport systems.

“Great like Dar es Salaam” Should I laugh at your illogical thinking or your lack of comprehension when comparing Dar es Salaam to Nairobi? 😂 Even with matatus, Dar es Salaam is not in the league of Nairobi. While Dar es Salaam is making progress, it will take decades for it to come close to the status of the Green City in the Sun (Nairobi).
