Welcome to a new episode from Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world and a spiritual hub for millions. My journey began in Pushkar, boarding the Sabarmati - Varanasi Express. Arriving early at Varanasi Junction, I walked to my guest house near Chausatti Ghat for a brief rest.
By evening, I soaked in the serene views of the Ganga River and bustling boats from the rooftop of Brahmdev Guest House. Later, I visited Monalisa German Bakery for food before heading to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the mesmerizing evening aarti. The ghat was alive with hundreds of devotees and tourists, both on land and in boats, experiencing this spiritual ritual.
After the aarti, I explored the vibrant market, indulging in a creamy malai lassi while window shopping for iconic Banarasi sarees and bangles. The day ended with a stop at the famous Kashi Chat Bhandar for some aloo tikki, though I felt it didn’t quite live up to the hype.
