14:00 Id say your feedback is still likely to be helpful to the devs. It tells them that the error msg given when tryin to deconstruct a biodome, with resources in it, is unclear and likely to lead to confusion as the user will think it means their backpack inventory is full. Hopefully they change the msg in the future to read somethin like "'s inventory is full; cannot deconstruct" or "Biodome inventory full; cant deconstruct". As both of those error msgs wud make it much clearer to the user why they cant deconstruct.

It would have to say something along the lines of "target's inventory is not empty" or "empty target's inventory before deconstructing" since you can't deconstruct anything with even a single item in it.

@@SylviaRustyFae that's not what he is talking about. Your (and theirs for that matter) message is mentioning a "full", but if the target inventory contains only a single item, it won't let you deconstruct it. So the message should be "$Target's inventory is not empty; cannot deconstruct"

I think just something more of a command rather than a warning would work better. Like "Clear out Biodome Inventory before deconstructing." or "Clear out Storage Chest Inventory before deconstructing." "Remove all furniture and objects inside Living Quarters before deconstructing." I feel like commands hinting at what's wrong instead of errors kind of eluding to something isn't jiving with what you want is better. Like the "can't place living quarters in any amount of ground" thing would be better with an actual error popping up with something like, "Living Quarter placement is only permitted on open grounds. Collisions and extreme terraformation will not be tolerated." Terraformation in this case meaning the actual deforming of the ground, not what Sentinel Corp. wants us to do. Or the dev could leave it as is. I mean he/she/they (I don't know how many people are developing this) could be Sentinel Corp for all we know and we're just there to die.

As far as I know, the rounded corners still have a "build" box of a full living quarters. That's as far as I recall though. It doesn't make sense visually, but from a game programing sense, it kind of does. It's a building like the other buildings. It'd mesh best with the other buildings if it was built on the same template and then just had restrictions applied. However those restrictions do not include the editing of the build box.

@@steeljawX Yeah. Thats fairly common for any game with this base/ship build concept. Each element will always have a hitbox that matches its size, regardless of curved bends or other shapes.

Try putting a foundation down on the parts of terrain it doesnt let you build on, then build on the foundation. It'll also make your base look better so the main part isn't floating.

The fastest way to a high base is to build stairs outside it. You can build the pretty close together if you build from down to upward.

Oh man, tell me about it! I've got a 130 floor (and growing) high tower in my game and I finally got sick of zigzagging up ladders that I built a giant honking exterior staircase so I can jetpack up to the mini-base at floor 101 (highest floor with an entrance at this time.) It's so tall that you can't see the bottom of the staircase from the top because of the render distance on the stairs. XD Remarkably, despite that one, my large main base, and a collection of secondary bases across the map, I've only recently started to get particularly noticable framerate drops!

@@omnomshibob Actually, youre wrong. Im this thing called Autistic and Im also ADHD and theres a bunch of other realted disorders goin on in my head... But the important part is; it means that when i have a thowt, like a comment to write... I have to get it out ASAP or else ill just forget it, even only mins later. Ive got notoriously bad memory and need reminders for everythin. I only figured out it was Thursday yesterday when my alarm went off at almost midnite to tell me to take out the trash; bcuz im that forgetful that i cant even remember the day/date no matter how many times i see it on my phones lock screen. If i dont immediately comment about somethin in the vid ill forget. What i usually do is put the timestamp on my comment and then if i remember and if the comment becomes irrelevant later in the vid; then i go back and delete the comment or edit it. Tellin me to just wait til the vid is over to comment means i just wud make like 10% of the comments i think about and want to make just cuz i forgot the comments.

If you need to make notes to remember, write your comment on your notepad, and then you can cross it off if it's resolved by the end.

The video creator who now gets a slight algorithm boost due to mt interactions with this video. Therefore, its wrong to argue we shudnt make them. Ive also yet to find a notepad app i like on my phone to use or else maybe i wud do that; havin to tab out and write it in another app isnt ideal and its all i can do on my phone which doesnt offer split screen support (but i also hate that shit; and i still dont like any notes/notepad apps ive found so far bcuz i have nvr found one that mimics the notepad app from like Windows 98 xD (This is cuz i always turn off all the fancy effects on Windows comps and also havent rly used one regularly since XP was still kinda supported just cuz no one liked vista or 7; and on XP you cud make it look like Windows 98 by turnin off all the fancy stuff) Sure i cud use a notepad app that doesnt look like that, but i dont wanna bcuz i like the pure simplistic nature of said program and its what im used to and im very resistant to unnecessary change, esp when it makes somethin more sensory overloading for me. Hey Drae, you can build stuff inside objects that the game does not let you normally build, you just need a normal one near it and the thing that you want to build having that linked icon. If you change from a side that you can build to a one that the game doesn't let you build you can build there for some frames, if you click to build you can trick the game into letting you build stuff that normally it doesn't. Warning the geometry of the map still exists, so if you put the living compartment inside a rock, the rock will be inside the living compartment.

It wasn't to terraform the planet, unless it was meant for an entirely different species. And whether intentional or not it messes with ship drives and warp fields. It's a TRAP! Maybe the machine was meant to keep a hostile predatory species dormant...

If you're meaning directly, no they are not. If you mean as a component for the fusion energy cell, then yes they are. I'm only saying this flat out because it's not a secret and people who aren't playing the game need to realize that that is how this game works. You get the 1 part you can put in the fusion reactors at the very end. Anything that is not a fusion energy cell will not work and is a waste of time trying to speculate about.
