@@_setbes You’re really making me spell it out, okay. OP said “That scientist really gave a shit about the rules.” Giving a shit means you do care to follow the rules, not giving a shit means you don’t care to follow the rules. The scientist broke the rules by taking a shit on an island they knew they were not supposed to tamper with causing the plant to grow from the nutrients. So the scientist didn’t give a shit about the rules.

Using distinctly un-natural things such as boats to transport ourselves to a remote island that we would otherwise be unable to reach, and dumping feces on said island that contain seeds of plants that would naturally be completely limited to the american continent. Would there be any way for a wild, natural human to do that? Birds can do it because I am not sure if you know this, but most birds can fly. Flying is quite useful since it allows something to cross great distances or stretches of land you can't walk across. It allows them fly to that island, on their own, naturally, no help necessary.

Honestly out of all of the ways to spread life this is the best. Pooping is a natural biological function. We humans are apart of the ecosystem of the world, us shitting on an island spreading life is part of it
@Katie-or2xn

But that wasn't the point of the study. We already know that they want to observe the process as if humans weren't there. Otherwise you might as well throw a handful of seeds and be done.

Similar oddity, A plane went down after a bird strike. Some large bird was believed to have flown into the engine. While investigating the plane crash they took tissue samples from inside the engine. The DNA came back as white tailed deer. So the re-tested the flesh sample and it came back white tailed deer DNA. Someone figured out a vulture had fed on the carcass of a deer and then flew into the plane engine.

I remember reading somewhere a study in which scientists created the perfect conditions for life in a sterile environment. For a prolonged period of time they waited, but after waiting for long time life never manifested itself, it just never happened. My childish deduction at the time made me realize that life creates life. But then I ponder... Who or what orchestrated the first life form.❤

It's also fully possible that a bird flew over the island and took a crap with seeds in it after maybe snatching a piece of tomato from their food. There's no way they'd have found anything recognizable as specifically human fecies by the time the plant was noticable.

You could probably test the composition and see what kind of materials. I would reckon bird and human feces are very different composition wise.
@Irishrebel092
@Irishrebel092 Ай бұрын
@@jurajsintaj6644 fully agree, but I'd have a hard time believing that they had access to equipment needed to do such tests given how otherwise careful they were being to not contaminate the area. I used to raise chickens and would swap their coup bedding out about once every two months. When I would, I would basically be shoveling what looks like composted soil and id throw it into my garden. Now, yes on a lava rock island there wouldn't be much for the feces to mix with to compost, but the bacteria in the human gut should be plenty to make it happen in a fairly short amount of time, short enough to provide nutrients to the growing plant that they found. Then again, maybe they knew it was human cause of the corn 😂🤣

I don't understand the problem. Eventually a bird would have flown over and pooped or some semi aquatic animal would've. Trying to keep it completely sterile is impossible and a waste of time. They could have grown some of the best tomatoes in the world if they weren't being dumb. Why are the smartest people some of the stupidest??
