Hydnophytum papuanum is a myrmecophyte aka "Ant Plant" that form these apertures leading into a series of internal corridors! The craziest thing is that ants do not bury into the plant to form these tunnels... the plant naturally grows these internal chambers that just so happen to be perfect for ant colonies to live inside! Then the plant is able to provide the ant colony a home and shelter while receiving nutrients back from the ants through their sugar deposits and excrement-- the perfect mutualistic, symbiotic relationship.

If one would try to procure said plant, what are some good tips for care?

Ant Plants are Epiphytes so they like to be constantly moist but never saturated or sitting in water. A very airy substrate is preferred and they will benefit from higher humidity levels, though they are pretty resilient to growing in average home conditions. Happy Growing! :)
