Just realised I said 135mm film when I meant 35mm, my bad guys 😂

135 means 35mm
@jimmypmedia10 ай бұрын
Haha yeah I was clearing up any confusion as most people just know it as 35mm, stats were showing a lot of people replayed the part of the video where I said that so thought it was worth clarifying 😂

It amazes me that the images you captured were from such a simple, basic camera. Proof that tn investments in equipment is often meaningless.

Absolutely! I think it just shows how timeless shooting on film is 😊

Nice shots Jimmy, I must admit I wouldn't know where to start with shooting film.

Thanks mate! 🙌 Honestly with a point and shoot it's pretty easy, just not cheap to buy film or get it developed!

Nice work mate, not easy when you have no control over the camera. I want a point and shoot but with some controls, fix lens is fine but I want to choose the shutter speed at least.

Agreed! But it's a nice way to start out with shooting film! I'll definitely be looking to get a film SLR at some point where I can control the settings more 😄

@@jimmypmedia Well if you want to borrow one in the meantime I’ve 7/8 here, I’ve a Minolta I can let you have a body for £10 but you will need to find a lens, The Real Camera Company on Lever Street in the Northern Quarter on the other corner to Fred Aldous in Stephenson Square should have plenty and if there’s any issue with the camera I’ll refund you of course, I’ve not tried them all just yet and there are a couple I want to keep.

@@bcegerton Appreciate that mate! I'll do some research on the Minolta 😊 Will DM you at some point about it!

hi! thanks for the video. i just bought the camera and wondering should i roll the film every time i take a picture? (so it’s like click > roll > click > roll) if that makes sense lol

Hey, yeah that's pretty much how it works! Really easy just click, then wind to the next shot 😊

Hi I have a bit of a silly question!! I'm looking to buy my first camera - does this perform well in low light but with the flash on? Thank you!
@jimmypmedia3 ай бұрын
@@ssanra_4327 Hey! Not a silly question at all! Unfortunately though I haven't tested the camera for indoor use with the flash, however from what I hear it's not amazing indoors which I'd put down to it's F/9 aperture, so I would mostly stick to outdoor use!

How do I view the pictures?Im 15 and I got this as a gift and idk what to do with it

As this is a film camera you'll need to make sure you have some 35mm film in it, and then you'll need to get that film developed to see your photos. I used this video when I first got the camera as it's a really good guide on how to use it 👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHu0eqB3ZZtgpK8si=MtJkvxHGfP50Sg4D
