THAT has to be the most rework I've seen you do on a port. You've got the patience of a saint and I imagine if that was for a customer it would have been a pricey repair.

I had to do this. A "shop" ground down the whole top layer down to the ground plane. Then tried to add the HDMI port to that. Took me a long time to repair that damage.

Wow - that port was a horror-show. It hurt my head looking at it! There just seemed to be one enormous pad where there should have been 3 or 4! As you said, this seemed to be all ground plane from an underlying layer on the board? I must admit if I had looked at that it would have been a 'nope'! Great effort to fix it. No reason it won't now give years of service to your son and he can blow up fire engines 'til his hearts content.

Codr3 I sent my PS5 to Tfix to reapir they couldn't fix it. Issues is I turn on try to boot then shoutdown . But boot into recoveryode leave it for 10m PS5 will boot i have 2 leave in rest mode all time ...

Sometimes it's because they're trying to melt lead-free solder using Grandad's old soldering gun that only goes to 200°C.

One trick you can do if you're on mobile mate is to click the little "info" button on the bottom left of the screen, click stop seeing this ad, and it'll immediately skip the ad 😉 I generally don't touch the ads and youtube do them automatically so sorry if they play ads that long. I personally don't see them because I have premium
