So these skinz replace your waders? And as the water gets between the skinz and your skin they keep the water warm sort-of like a wetsuit? What are you using for boots. And do they have socks that work like a wetsuit? Thanks great video

Yes, as water gets in between it keeps that area warm just like a wetsuit. I just bought a new pair of neoprene knee-high socks that could officially make me waterproof, but I’m still messing around with lots of different products to see if I can get my self fully dry even in thigh-deep water. I currently use a pair of orvis wading boots and I love them. Hope this helps Lonnie!

I just acquired a pair of Frog Togg bib waders that sell for about $150 for $15 from a warehouse that I work at. The customer sent them back for some reason. They don't leak. They probably didn't fit someone . The box was damaged and couldn't be resold. Im 6'4" and 260 lbs. If I were just a little bigger they wouldn't fit me. I got my fingers crossed that they'll last a while.

@@humbugvideos you missed NOTHING! Idaho rod and reel was there, but other than that, ID does sportsman shows wrong. They must charge too much because i know there is many local tackle manufacturers. The show compared to back east and south, is heavy lopsided with guides, rows and rows of them. more than half of the hunt fish guides are out of staters too. There's usually 10 or less manufacturers which is sad. The shows i went to in the south and east have tons of tackle vendors! Every year is the same here, but i go because nothing to do

Thanks for the review Casey! Just curious, aren't there already neoprene waders on the market? How different would these be? Love your channel by the way 👍.

Upon doing some research I found a few alternatives, but most of them have boots attached or aren’t as thin as these. These don’t even feel like a neoprene wetsuit, they’re much more comfortable and allow for more mobility. That said, if u find some other ones similar feel free to reach out and send me the link! Wouldn’t doubt that I missed something

@humbugvideos Copy that. I did look at the website, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to make the switch yet, but it's definitely an interesting niche product. Thanks again for all the awesome reviews!

Great waders have already existed They were made about 25-27 years ago They were rubber lined RedBall 1000 Diner Cordura waders that lasted me literally OVER 20 years of use I had two pair one for everything and one for creak fishing for salmon and steelhead only Still have one pair Other pair got ruined because I was to GD lazy to take them off to climb a freshly put up barbed wire fence and I slipped and dragged my part of my right leg and most of my left leg full across the shiny new sharp barbs a farmer had granted me permission to cross his land as a shortcut to access public land creek fishing for steelhead he even warned me of the fence Amazingly all that resulted were a few pin hole leaks that day but slowly over the next few years the leaks got worse till I couldn't fix them anymore Also have a pair of RedBall 1000D Cordura hip waders that are at least 15 years old I use for duck and goose hunting still going strong

The new products are so lame when considering the stories I’ve heard of people like you who’ve had waders for 10+ years and going strong. Hopefully a change happens. Thanks for sharing!

In your dollar analysis what about the neoprene socks? These might run $35.
@humbugvideos
@humbugvideos 3 ай бұрын
Yah I actually thought about that before uploading, but I already have 2 pairs and I assumed a decent portion of river fishermen already have a pair. If that was included in the analysis it would be around $1.55 per trip

As of now I haven’t found a way to keep water out 100%, but I am messing around with different socks to find a way. Even though you are wet, you’re still warm
