I bought one, and have used it 4 rounds. Short putts are a no brainier. I have never heard of so many, great putt, from my buddies. Honesty it is an entirely different putter than any putt I have ever owned. When putts go in consistently you quickly forget the price of the putter. Love it, and highly recommend it.

Very interesting Matt! I am a co-founder at Q but actually my first push into golf tech and brand was in the late 90s and given there is only 1 club in the bag where you are allowed to point the shaft axis at the COG, I was amazed no one was. So I developed the Puku putter brand - which was "center-balanced" as we called this then, and Puku was also the first dedicated belly putter brand, and had an adjustable length mechanism which we got through the USGA and R&A as conforming. (Later we sold this tech to a big brand) The putter was, and is great, but we did not have not enough margin, and made no money, so moved on, and then the belly putter was banned of course !! No regret about the adventure, and I am pleased to see LAB and PXG releasing models that are sensibly balanced. Face balancing is a silly idea, as it has the balance directing the face UP - which is of course perfect if you want to hit a vertical putt. Toe hang is daft too! It's like deliberately designing an out of balance car tire - why would you? Cheers Simon

There is no comparison. LAB has put the PXG Allen putter in the 'revealer' and it doesn't even come close to staying square to the arc and thus is *not* lie angle balanced and therefore does *not* have zero torque. I have an edel torque balanced putter, it's a blade putter, has some awesome looking milling with large needle bearings stacked for the sweet spot and a heel weight. It's very very forgiving and just wants to stay straight and level. I made it into an arm lock and it was the best thing I ever did. It was an awesome putter already and when I made an old blade into an arm lock for fun, it really gave me the reason to do the same to my edel. I'm down to maybe two 3 putts a round. And I've had multiple roundS with zero 3 putts. Torque balanced putters are the future for sure.

I'm a big fan of no torque putters, but they are a bit spendy considering PXG are known for having affordable clubs. It's not so much the money but the concept of getting a good deal, though it is less expensive than the competition. I will wait until people trade them in because no putter, the inanimate one, will solve the putting problems of a poor putter, the animate one, no matter how revolutionary it is. At 4:10 Making more putts than (fewer) not less, which is incorrect usage, since the word "putts" is a countable noun. In fact, counting putts is integral to golf. "Fewer and less are comparative words that indicate a smaller amount or number of something12345. The main difference between them is that fewer is used with countable nouns, such as choices, problems, or cookies1235, while less is used with uncountable nouns, such as time, effort, or milk1235. Fewer emphasizes the number of things, while less emphasizes the quantity or degree of something4". For instance, in the future, I will be less inclined to comment on matters such as this if you make fewer mistakes. Keep 'em Flying!

Mr SG is a scratch golfer-level putt'r whatever putter he uses. I doubt if the tool, no matter how trick'd up, makes much diff. Personally, I'll stick w my Bettinardi Hogan; it (a brick on a stick) feels right and I putt @ 1.5/green w it. Being a steady, consistently good putter is c. 95% drill/practice and 5% club. Incidentally, when I'm using my indoor 24' putting rug my target is a soup can 25% SMALLER than the 4+1/4" golf hole. Which makes the real target, on practice green or course, look and play 25% larger. Which means: 25% better putting.

I do believe that putter is banned in 2025
@richdouglas23113 ай бұрын
@@bournefree That was news to me, so I looked up the rule. The putter isn't banned, but using it as a stand-up is. You can still use it like you would a conventional putter. You just can't stand it up and walk behind the putter--which is its sole purpose. I'm surprised the delay in implementing the rule is so short. These putters retailed for almost $500 (and I have two of them--one heel-shafted and one center-shafted). That's all wasted now. I really feel bad for the manufacturer, Bloodline, since that's their main business. I hate putting. I'm a good putter, but I think it's dumb and and out-sized part of the game. It's foreign to every other aspect of the game, which is why they have to keep coming up with rules to restrict it--rules that only apply to putting. Whether it's technique--like croquet-style or anchoring (which they banned)--or technology (banning stand up putters, belly putters), innovators keep beating the putting game and the USGA keeps putting it all back the way it was. And it's not like you can just ignore it. Until most equipment, it's pretty obvious you're using it in a non-conforming manner. And I've never been interested in using or doing anything that is against the rules. But this is the first one that has ever affected me and I'm not pleased. Not at all. I used to use a Happy Putter because of its incredible adjustability (loft, lie, weighting). I still have one--I hope I still have the accessories. Otherwise, I guess I'm heading over to PXG. Gee, great.

How does one make a zero torque putter?
@jamesstevens1972-q2v3 ай бұрын
@@semperfi5857 Align the components so on the swing and the strike there is a balanced club and no torque is present to cause the putter head to move from the alignment that you lined the shot up from. Most clubs are not balanced and when you swing and hit the ball the forces involved cause the club head to move out of alignment with the desired head position. With most putters’ players end up subconsciously adjusting for the torque and this builds in variability. With a no torque club you have to learn to swing the club in a natural stroke without adjustment, and then the putter does all the work for you - simple. However, I am not going to give away my secrets of how I achieve a balanced club as that is where I will make my profit, and the patent is currently being drawn up.
