1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 green bell pepper
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Salt, black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
700 g (1.5 lbs) potatoes
60 ml (1/4 cup) whole milk
120 g (4 oz) Emmental cheese

Hello Happy new year from Japan! Thank you for always great recipes!! I lived in the Netherlands for 11 years with my Dutch wife. Unlike Europe and the United States, there are many types of potatoes in Japan. And when the potatoes are boiled, the taste becomes pale due to the water quality. Does not have the unique earthy scent of vegetables. Since Japan is soft water, potatoes are used by applying a small amount of olive oil after peeling, wrapping them in cooking wrap one by one, and boiling them in a microwave oven. I sometimes give up cooking because Japan has fewer kinds of vegetables and herbs than Europe and America.
