I made a habit a while ago to call myself out honestly as much as I am able and keep my nafs in check to the best of my ability. This requires alot of Taqwa, in the sense that Allah has to be on your mind very frequently. You literally you have to be thinking of Allah as much as possible. It really helps if you assume you are already standing in front of Allah while you live your day to day life. Check yourself before Allah checks you is my life slogan. ♥️

Assalamulaikum. You and others hand down such valuable knowledge. Those who only know English however cannot receive the full benefit because much of their understanding is compromised when a word like shirk or dunya is used without explanation.

Gary Valentine Waalaikum salam. Good thing though, if you listen carefully Sheikh Hamzah always explain them, especially when he gives examples, stories and analogies. These words always being said in short phrases and it’s in Arabic language and they are phrases(sources)mainly quotes from the Quran(Barakah)and the saying of the Prophet(the teaching/the way)and the scholars(interpretations) in generals. All Muslims scholars giving their speeches or lectures are influenced by the Arabic language and the language ties the ummah like knots. Those 2 words you mentioned above are quite common to the Muslims laymen. The influence is not by accident. No other languages like Arabic language, because Allah have chosen it precisely to unite this nation(ummah). You have to get use to his lectures because evidently this scholar has so many teachers he learnt from and sometimes he speaks so ‘very deep’ and one needs to revisit his lectures. One sitting is never enough to understand the whole lecture. May Allah make it easy for you and me.

Giving up act (which is recommended in Islam like Jummah,Hajj etc) in fear of Riya, is also Riya. That's why we have to very careful and ask protection from it from Allah(swt).
