Hello Martin,I just spent some time watching 2 of your repairs useing the PDR Method.Both Repairs were very well done.Its Truly an Art.Its all about the Ability to Read the Metal or Aluminum Panel and to Reverse the Damadges by studying how the damage affected the panel, looking to see if the workhardened areas like body lines were affected,and allways work from the good to the bad.Followed as you Started by reversing the Lowest damadge or dents by use of your plastic pull tabs and glue and then reversing the smaller damadge and then getting the pull tabs and straight ingredients the body lines followed by massaging the eyebrows (high areas back down) Proceeding to finalizing the smallest dimples and dings and then to machine buffing the clearcoat which also creates small amount of heat to and kinda blends out the finish to what I would consider an Exelcent Suburb Repair.Great Job Martin.I had 35 years experience in Automotive Body Repair and after 17 yr became Collision Center Owner,Operator and I enjoyed my career so much that I worked 16 hr day,6 and 7 days a week until becoming disabled and unable to work.
@dentremover013 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave. Thanks for watching my videos and commenting. Yes that’s pretty much it. Just very controlled pushes and seeing how the panel reacts, basically trying to level up the panel without making push marks so by using certain tips and glue systems amazing results can be achieved. I started as a panel beater, then learnt pdr. It is tough on the body sometimes- like today my hands where killing! I hope you find my other videos to keep you entertained, and take care of yourself Kind regards Martin

@@dentremover01 I tip my hat to you mate. It would take me a day's work prepping for paint and $$$ in materials plus drying sanding and polishing time. Not to mention a color match blending. I understand perfectly the method you are teaching being I have 44 years of experience working with metal nevertheless the biggest problem I have is choosing what tools to use for certain PDR jobs. I spent ten grand at ding king institute to learn this method of dent repair two weeks training. Honestly what I got out of it was the theory. They rent cars that are easy to access for dent repairs for the students to practice on. They knock dents in them and have the students fix them after one week of theory. I left very unhappily with the hope that with what I learned I would build on it and practice. I am getting pretty good at it but honestly, your videos would have saved me a lot of money. If I had the funds I would train all over again but with someone like you that shares honest teaching knowledge. I find glue pulling amazing, and I am getting pretty good at it.
@dentremover013 жыл бұрын
Hi Raymond thanks for your message. I’ve heard a few stories about Ding Kings training. I haven’t looked into the training side of things but I try to explain the repair procedure on my vids so that beginner or advanced techs can watch and maybe take away a tip, skill etc or make the mind think and ultimately help others out. I don’t know everything but my methods may be different to other techs. Keep at it. Learn your way and tweek your repair method. As long as you can get the dent out your doing it right 🙌🏼🔥
