You know. One thing you have taught me over the years (well among many things) but you never get to down about a situation. Mind set is everything in my opinion. You can have the best everything, in the best spots, but if you don’t have that confidence. You don’t have anything. Your perseverance and grit are truly amazing man. I look up to you more than you know. I know you’re trying new things and testing your skills and abilities but forget the tournaments and go back to having fun man. 💪🏼

I appreciate the kind words. Getting out of my comfort zone is the only way I've found I truly improve. I'm also generally pretty terrible when I first start things, so at least I'm consistent at that part haha.

When I saw that slow pulling down rod I imagined that could be a flathead. Even I’m learning the difference among the three species just watching your channel. Tournaments are so much different from just fishing, it’s a hard playing game. Thanks for sharing, Spencer, we all enjoy watching you.

Its easy to get down on yourself when you are unhappy with decisions you made in the moment. I do it too. Tournament fishing is an art as much as a science. And of course there is an undeniable element of luck.... I like that you show the wins and the losses. Keeps it real. Thanks for taking us along.

TY showed a highlight reel today of a trip I think to the central America area. He mentioned the name Spencer but never really showed you. It's probably a stupid question and there's a video of it available but was that you behind the camera talking with him.? It's a bummer when after doing something that you enjoy doing doesn't provide us that pleasure. I have to say that from the video I have seen on your channel that you caught some pretty large fish. I appreciate the effort and content you post here no matter the catch. I live in San Diego where we don't have rivers or creeks or streams like you have access to. My biggest fish was a 3 1/2 lbs large mouth bass. It's just fun for me to see what the fishing is like and whatever part of the Midwest that you go to fish in. So thanks again for putting out the content that you do and I hope to see much more in the future.

It might have been an old video. I haven't been there with Ty for at least 2 years. I'm glad you enjoy all the videos. I'm generally pretty bad at things when I first start them, so I have plenty to figure out. I'll get there one way or another.

Hey man you’re fishing! I was injured when I was 19 and I was always outside fishing or hunting. I broke my neck in a diving accident and I love to watch stuff like this. I always felt that tournament fishing really takes the fun out of fishing. Please don’t feel bad about this tournament because you can always try again.

Try using small crank baits for those elusive skips jacks. Used to catch them on cranks below the dam up in Yankton SD. At least worth a shot, when nothing else is working. Keep up the awesome work. Appreciate your time and effort you put in. Go out and catch a giant !!

♥There can be a bad day catching, but there's no such thing as a bad day fishing. First kayak tournament and you caught a quality blue! Before this I didn't know there was such a thing as kayak catfish tournaments. I realize judging by total length of inches makes a lot of sense, but when you're working the board, holding a lap full of fish, and trying to take a photo simultaneously, there's a lot of opportunity there for something to go wrong! Seems like multitasking on a kayak requires much more finesse, agility, and mobility that I could ever muster at my age. 😉♥

Pretty confident you'll be much more successful in next kayak derby..still had nice fish earlier in week. Great video and non the less you can't take that from ya Spencer!!! Look forward to every video brother!!

Can’t blame ya being upset. Life happens and sometimes to the negative. Especially upsetting when happens at the end of the day when a little bit of good seemed to happen. Been there myself had that same kinda awkward 1/2 mad 1/2 kinda funny like ya can’t believe that happened moment. Plus the barb stab just make it sink in deeper. Keep the faith we all appreciate your honesty and your videos. I hope to get on the water soon and go after some and use some of what I’ve learned from ya. Tight lines !

Thanks for all of the great videos; you do pretty much everything I hope to do in a couple of years. Have you seen the Wilderness Systems Tactical Pro 128? The offset trolling motor (so you can open the front hatch) looks awesome; and the in-hull battery storage clears a lot of the back deck. The front storage compartment also looks like it might work as a baitwell. I'm looking for an alternative to my Hobie.

Oh and dude they have been on big time down here on the big crick. We caught three over fifty countless 20s & 30s a few 40s and couldn't tell you how many tens. We filled up four families freezers🤠. My good friend caught a 93 pound blue on 20 lb test and had to chase it around for 30 mins. Should be fire for couple more weeks. Had a 12ot Mad Cats circle straightened out. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏🏻
