@@lh8956 i was around back in the day. Those rumors were spread in school like the Willie Lynch letter. For sure people believed it, but it was still dumb. I still wanted to see. People said all sorts of stuff, the klans owns Timberlands, the klan owns whichever ciggarettes you smoked at the moment... all sorts of nonsense. Rumours spread easy before the proper internet came around and we could ask for receipts. I still thought it was dumb at the time. Im looking at Aaliyah on the actual Hillfiger billboard while goofballs in school are telling me he hates black people? Make it make sense lol

It’s not actually true. If you think about it, damn near every major campaign for Tommy Hilfiger was a black person. Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Pac, Quincy Jones and his daughters, etc. Someone made this rumour up and people ran with it ever since. If Tommy really didn’t want black people wearing his clothes, he wouldn’t have major black figures and hip hop figures marketing his clothes.
