Thanks Coach! I love the aggression. Will look for this sack opportunity in my games. Also we need more Morphy content.

The master question now is: how can we mere mortals detect such a positional advantage, quantify it and finally capitalize on it.
@ChessCoachAndras2 ай бұрын
@@rotatingmind very good question, no obvious answer. I think the best approach is to follow my thought process and reflect on the positions where you would have played differently.then we have more to work with.

Sure, the attacking Morphy-Alekhine-Tal-Kasparov lineage can be fun for a cheap trick, but let’s not forget the masters of the defensive lineage: Capablanca-Petrosian-Karpov-Greg.

Do you have any good and inspiring recommendations of annotated Alekhine‘s Games? Would be interested in learning more about these games and the ideas behind them. Thank you for sharing this game!

stlcc did a lecture series on this exact sac a bit back, maybe within the past couple years. I think it was a Greek GM who came in and lectured for a few hours, gave a bunch of examples. Good sac

Great video as always!! I was looking through your excellent book recommendation videos, but I only found a selection of Alekhine's games (by Igor Zaitsev I think). Could you also recommend your favorite books for studying the games of Morphy, Tal, and Kasparov?
