Enough of all these teaser videos - Were all waiting for the 30 part series of 30 min videos, on the processes and realities of making these beautiful windows. Seriously though, awesome work.

HAha thanks bud! I might be moving the more detailed videos behind a very low monthly subscription, as it just isn't viable to make them based on youtube revenue!

Get the woodworking/carpentry books written by P N Hasluck, and George Ellis and read the relevant sash information. With some woodworking knowledge you can make these types of windows. The balance weights, if you are not using the original ones, are not readily available but use the www etc to source them. Take care.

Just wondered about rain ingress if it were opened in a shower. The top extends out somewhat from the face of the frame... where you were discussing taking more chamfer off to allow for paint. Well done. No prefect solution for this.

Nice job as always, and well thought out. I've designed a top hung casement that looks like a traditional sliding sash window. It worked a treat and I've used the same design on grade 1 and 2 listed houses. When the window is shut, you can not tell it's not a sliding sash. It was definitely a tricky window to design and keep all the proportions correct so they match adjacent sliding sashes.

Yeah looks good - only someone who knows exactly what to be looking for would notice a difference. Think you said the window was top floor for emergency exit so extra unlikely it would stand out. It’s a good looking solution for the client , hope they appreciate the effort that goes into making something custom that also looks that good

Looks really good, and innovative. A brilliant alternative, combining those hinges. I like the way you’ve incorporated all the weather protection and made it look like a conventional sash. I think you’re onto something here Oli. You should patent and protect this design. It’s got all the green boxes ticked and will look good and need minimal maintenance for many years. Unlike its UPVC equivalent! Will you spray, or brush paint the finish? I’d be interested to see how Accoya takes linseed products? You’ve created a wonderful design here.
