As a dad that lifts, nothing brings me more joy than when my daughters come and “workout” with me in our garage-gym. My three year old is a HOSS and will dumbbell deadlift the 5lbs dumbbells just so she can workout with dad. Side note: ever admire how young children have great natural squat form. Squats are such a fundamental movement for humans. Y’all should all be doing your squats! Best anti-aging exercise there is!

Listening to you guys has not only helped my life and training but has vicariously helped my family. Iv convinced all 3 of my younger brothers and even my mom to start resistance training, had to explain all the additional benefits to convince some of them, but about 5 weeks in and I can see the confidence and physical improvements they have experienced! A family that lifts together sticks together! Keep up the great work💪

Mid 20’s right now and i’ve learned and applied so many golden nuggets from you guys, i’m truly grateful for your presence and eagerness to give back to the community. Also i’m a hard gainer so it’s been a struggle for me gain size with bulks due to my strength specific training, in a tough spot right now financially but when I get up on my legs again, I will very much buy my first program ever online, and it will be the maps anabolic. Can’t wait! Thank you once again guys, we appreciate all of you so much.

I grew up watching/spotting for my Dad while he lifted. He had some equipment he set up in the basement. So naturally I started lifting. I was kind of consistent lol but once I hit early adulthood I found pumping iron and would watch that while I worked out. It helped keep me consistent and motivated.

Being a better parent by being a better person really hits home. I've got three little ones and although I've always been a pretty patient person, I can tell I'm more easily triggered/agitated when I've not been taking care of myself physically/mentally. That doesn't mean you have to sacrifice time with your little ones in order to take care of yourself, but understanding how little actual 'downtime' of doing nothing or relaxing I actually need has been an important insight. Like trigger sessions or active rest, parenting is similar, we have to be able to find the progress and satisfaction and rejuvenation even when we may be actively doing things all day long. Finding ways to recharge while still pushing forward is monumental. Side note, just tried magic spoon this morning for the first time finally (the fruity one) and I'm hooked! Love the content as always!

Ladies and gents, I have a tip that hasn’t been discussed on this channel that WILL 100% hit your chest better-take something like the Abmat hip thruster pad and put it on the lower back area of your incline bench. The extra 1 1/2 inches will help your chest stretch further than normal because it can arch back a little better. Start with medium weight and you WILL feel it.

Thanks for another great podcast y'all, so much to learn from you and you're such a riot too. I've been training since September 2022 and I always try to practice mind muscle connection. I practice flexing muscles even when I'm not lifting. I feel like I'm seeing most of my results in my back and shoulders. It's funny I can flex my butt cheeks separately when I'm not lifting but struggle to activate during lifting 😂. I'll keep practicing and get it all down eventually. I'm enjoying Maps Starter Bundle currently. Thanks for all you do!

3:34 WTF.. This happened to me the other day. I added extra 10kgs to my bench press because I wasn't able to load my workout and decided to go by memory.. I wrote down and compared to my actual plan.. And added 10kgs to each set except for my drop off set... So I went from 75kgs/80kgs/85kgs to 85kgs/90kgs/95kgs.. For 3reps each set 😅 drop off set of 75kgs to RIR of 3. I feel great and safe and strong 💪.. Thank for all the great content I've learned so much on the daily because of Mind Pump podcast. keep it up 😊

Currently on MAPS anabolic phase 3 and you all keep saying push the intensity…but I’ve noticed since the volume is pretty high, I feel like I have to drop the weight so much because I’m gassed out 😅 I’m feeling pretty weak to be honest as I’ve usually trained in the low rep ranges. How do I know if I’m actually gaining strength/muscle if I have to cut the weight down due to the volume?

I have a question. I have an odd injury to my right bicep, I went to far, to long and to hard about a year ago or so. The pain only comes when I flex the right bicep in a horizontal way. The first muscle flex most learn. When I contract the muscle and squeeze, pain, just a bit of pain near the crook of the elbow and near the bottom of the short head on the bicep. Is there actually a way to heal this or am I just stuck with it?

I’ve learned that mindset for a lift is such a big difference. The difference between a PR weight wise, is the mentality has to be, I’m going to throw this bar threw the roof! However I find very difficult to overcome the nervousness of the lift going wrong, have yet to find a tip or trick to over come that. Did hit a new bench PR on accident as mentioned though! 365 lbs with just wrist wraps, mostly for a mental boost. Want that 405 raw bench!
