This Seiko 5 Dress Watch Has The BEST DIAL Under $100 | Seiko SNK355 Review

I just love these affordable Seiko 5 watches. I've had 4 of them in my watch collecting journey and enjoyed every single one of them. This model in particular looks like a vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual homage - but that's not what's best about it.
What makes this Seiko 5 dress watch really special? The dial.
It has a beautiful sunburst effect at first glance. But, look closer, and you'll spot something else. It's really subtle, and you only notice it under certain lighting conditions. I hope it manages to come through in video! This might not be the best watch under $100, but it's certainly the best silver dial at that price point - at least to me. There aren't many affordable dress watches that can compare.

7 s26 movements now used in lorus automatics which came out a couple of years ago,theyre more or less seiko 5 under the lorus name,main difference is size is larger, around 41mm cases.

I'd like a champagne dial as champagne dial gives off a vintage feel- but silver is good though, better than blue or black. And 36mm case. But i like the look of the bracelet which looks like a rolex jubilee

When Rolex's and Omega's were still coming with folded link bracelets this Seiko-5 summing 4 seconds a day would have equaled or bested them hands down.

This Seiko 5 definitely punches way above its weight class! One thing about the 7S26 movements is that it has inconsistent accuracy in different positions. That's an area where the Rolex and Omega movements shine compared to this.

I have a snk789k1 (almost the same as the 355) and his relay partner is a sporty blue Casio Ediffice 100d. It is a 40mm quartz, screw-down crown and case back, 100m wr with a much better bracelet than the Seiko 5). They make a good duet.

If I had to choose just one, I'd go with the SNXS73 + an aftermarket oyster bracelet. The lumed indices made it feel a bit more sporty and balanced for me - which I personally prefer. This SNK355 leans on the dressy side.

I was considering this watch and the snkl41 but i'm not sure about the dial on the snkl41 because i really like the sunburst texture, but from all the videos ive seen the snkl41 dial doesnt look as amazing as this one. I've had both and I ended up keeping the SNKL41. The SNK355 dial definitely stands out more and is more intricate, but the SNKL41 does have a subtle silver/white sunburst effect in the dial. I think it depends on what the look you're going for. You can't go wrong with either, they're both gorgeous watches.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had my hands on the SNX111. It looks very similar to the SNXS73 I’ve had though. If they’re the same model, I’d say the difference is the bracelet and the case shape. I much prefer the SNK/SNKL case shapes over the SNXS cases.

I went to pd5080 looking for a silver dial with a silver dial, stainless steel brace, needle instead of a white dial, but I was confused with this SNK355 from SEIKO, which is domestically produced... Do you have a Doughin type SEIKO5? I wish szsb011 was silver... Buy stainless steel brace separately and compromise with CITIZEN's NK0000-10A...hmmm
