Tip: Alternate two suits in the prepped pack, so that you use odd hearts and even clubs for example. That way it looks less suspicious if the deck is scrutinized (and you'll still know the card, as it's a heart if x-20 is odd, and a club if x-20 is even).
@KenFullman
@KenFullman Ай бұрын
You could, alternatively, memorise a completely random sequence of cards. Then the scrutinized deck would always look totally random.

So simple it is. At the same time so impact it has on the audience. "World's best effects are always very simple. " Thank you very much for your kindness in sharing such a lovely effect.

You could also look for the largest heart as they show you the cards

Good job! I’ve been a magician/mentalist off and on for about 40yrs and this one slipped by me. And yes, you did fool me in the performance 😅. 1st thought was some kind of key card as you mentioned. Do you have any references or citations on where this is published? Thx!

wow so cool, thanks for sharing! what if the spectator cuts beyond the hearts? (if they cut before, you can use the reshuffling trick you showed, but if they cut beyond, the trick doesn't work, does it?)

I know you have the spectator cut to their card, but you could also do the same exact trick using a force. Now @7:25 how would you know the card if they were beyond (past) the hearts? The cards that you have memorized it doesn't make any sense to me

Fun way to do the reveal: create three piles of the cards after showing and counting them, and then, knowing the chosen card, ask the spectator which pile her 4 of hearts (for example) is in. First impulse is to respond to the question, and then the realization dawns!😂
