Some people have it rough and the best way to escape and improve upon yourself is joining. Does shit happen and it fucking sucks? YES but that goes for anything in life, there will always sacrifices and hardships no matter the place you go. Its how you move through life and face your challenges that matter.

I'm going to guess that what happened was he got out into the private sector and realized that as a marine he's not really getting paid a living wage but he does get free health care, housing allowance, etc. So there are benefits. But if you're just a regular working guy, you don't get none of that shit and you don't get paid a living wage. So you're working poor and homeless. At least if you're in the military you won't be homeless

Would be even funnier if the dude “beat em to the punch” even though they wouldn’t have called him up 😂

Last stop loss was with Bush. Yeah, more than likely they would not have recalled him

This Devil Dog went hard to get to Sgt Major without a full head of grey hair. Very impressive. I got out with an honorable but I'm not allowed to reinlist. Don't think I didn't try though. We all at least thought about it, but being a Marine amongst civilians gives me a distinct advantage in the corporate world.

I did not want to get out, but my crappy commander would not sign my cross train papers. Even though my cross train was approved, he would not release me from the career field, so I said, OK goodbye and got out no other man dictates my future or my career I do
