What so many people don't know is that dogs _want_ a strong, confident leader. It's a primary need for a dog, like food, water and walking. For them to feel safe and secure and thus lead a good life, they need this! Children need this too by the way.

I disagree with respect! All DOGS NEED a calm and confident leader. Otherwise they will act out as you must have noticed from Cesar's show. Just like all other animals they want to become the leader of the pack and if there is none they succeed. That's why as an owner you have to take on that role and your companion will easily adapt. There is one thing (to stay on topic) that a DOG WANTS and that is to be part of a pack (like wolves) and that pack will create a hierarchy.. PS: just look at all the other animals that Cesar has on his DPC and how he interacts with them. I'll give you one thing..a dog with a calm and assertive leader/owner is a happy dog.

That being said, your thinking aligns perfectly with mine. I just did not eleborate further, only wanted to point out dogs NEED a leader to feel safe and secure. And yes, this leader (alfa) should always be the human for domestic dogs. Sadly, many people do not see that taking this role is _truly_ out of love for your dog.

Absolutely love you're helping countless dogs and owners! I applied your methods on all my rescue dogs and got so many compliments. One of rescue agencies asked if I were a dog trainer. I remember when my puppy wanted to chase the brush or mop round the kitchen! 😂 It's only funny for a minute, so you have to nip it in the bud. I stood on said brush/mop and didn't make a fuss till she stopped. She got a tickle and praise for letting go. It took a few attempts but in the end she associated them as boooring!! 😴 😂. Never had any problems with the vacuum, brush or mop after that. 😊 Scamp was a GSD x and a wonderful dog, along with her bestie, Candy, my Beagle x Staffie. Miss my girls so much 🌈. Wonderful memories 💖 Belle is a Beautiful dog. Praying everything keeps going well for her. Her owner is lovely and I'm sure she'll follow Ceasars techniques. 😘🐕

Barking is a trait of Sheltie's. I know Sheltie breeders who debark their dogs bc they bark so much. Not saying I agree but they're known for barking. It's also how they herd.

He has done videos with deaf dogs and stated sometimes they are easier to work with becsuse of the incessant noise of humans. I doubt Cesar himself is going to reply so maybe you should try scent oriented training? And visual cues? Remember NOSE, EYES, EARS .... maybe try to focus on the nose... Google some information about deaf dogs and methods of training?

This woman is stark raving mad to pay that much for what is very likely a pet quality dog. $2300 is approaching pricing for a possible show dog. If she had gone to a shelter, Sheltie rescue, or a responsible breeder, she would have gotten a dog for a fraction of that.
