About my videos: These videos are a resource for anyone wishing to wake up from the dream of separation. Awakening, enlightenment, and liberation are becoming far more mainstream possibilities than they once were. There are many good teachers out there, and if you resonate with the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Rupert Spira, or Sadhguru, you might find resources here that address these deeper promptings to investigate your true nature.

A few things said by Alfred, Lord Tennyson about his spiritual experiences. Being born in 1809 he probably knew nothing of "non-duality" and its role in eastern philosophy/religion. “More than once when I Sat all alone, revolving in myself The word that is the symbol of myself, The mortal limit of the Self was loosed, And passed into the nameless, as a cloud Melts into heaven. I touch’d my limbs, the limbs Were strange, not mine - and yet no shade of doubt, But utter clearness, and thro’ loss of Self The gain of such large life as matched with ours Were sun to spark - unshadowable in words, Themselves but shadows of a shadow-world …” “A kind of walking trance I have frequently had, quite up from boyhood, when I have been all alone. This has often come upon me through repeating my own name to myself silently till, all at once, as it were, out of the intensity of the consciousness of individuality, the individuality itself seemed to dissolve and fade away into boundless being; and this not a confused state, but the clearest of the clearest, the surest of the surest, the weirdest of the weirdest, utterly beyond words, where death was an almost laughable impossibility, the loss of personality (if so it were) seeming no extinction, but the only true life…” “Yes, it is true there are moments when the flesh is nothing to me, when I feel and know the flesh to be the vision, God and the spiritual - the only real and true. Depend upon it, the spiritual is the real; it belongs to one more than the hand and the foot. You may tell me that my hand and my foot are only imaginary symbols of my existence. I could believe you, but you never, never can convince me that the I is not an eternal reality, and that the spiritual is not the true and real part of me.” Tennyson said of his mystical experience (in a letter to the prominent 19th century physicist Professor John Tyndall), “By God Almighty! there is no delusion in the matter! It is no nebulous ecstasy, but a state of transcendent wonder, associated with absolute clearness of mind.”

Brilliant! My experience is identical to hers -- in fact, it's a bit beyond because I realize all that was said here, and the outcome is just to go to further and subtler versions of the same problem. Recently -- in an effort to "sweep away" all this nonsense I've been asking myself: What is here which never changes? I'm doing this because -- when you confront these situations you realize that it's still just levels of "thinking," because the phenomenon appears and disappears in exactly the same way as thoughts and "feelings" do -- and what I'm "seeking" (lol) is that which is always here and never goes. AND I DO SEE IT...well, I...sort of see it "askance," but it's not something which comes into full focus. AND THEN, I realize that the entire thing is a duality because I'm set up as a "seer" which sees a thing. It's maddening...because it's ALL just subtle thinking and structuring of objects seen by a seer....and of course, when I look for who is aware of all this it's "nothing," but THAT doesn't seem like an answer either. I know when I had my experience years ago I instantly said "Everything is full of nothing! And it's so simple and obvious! Now....I'm left with only the thought of that. So....the problem is a deep belief that there must be one who sees. THAT is the fundamental framework of an ego.

Identical to my experience. Thank you so much. I've found my self inching closer to the "fuck it" phase. Why not just go there, the unknown, rather than my story. Why not side with "what if" rather than self doubt? It felt very freeing when I opened up that option. I haven't gone fully there but I'm curious about that path now that it opened.

just from the anecdotal observation that more female awakening videos seem to be posted than with men, just wondering if you generally see different kinds of stumbling blocks to awakening for men and women?
@SimplyAlwaysAwake
@SimplyAlwaysAwake Жыл бұрын
Interesting. Your comment caused me to look at the interviews on that playlist (awakening stories) and it is 11-8 in favor of women. Thinking back I would say that more men turned down offers for interviews, that might be part of it. I’m not sure, for a while I had the impression that women wake up a bit faster but I’m not so sure anymore because I see a lot of both.

can definitely relate a LOT. Not sure what is the next step, cause it is to let go and stay in the now and stillness and see it but then nothing happens, there is no next step, and the constant monitoring of letting go is taking so much that at some point has to be left aside to be able to do work stuff..and back into the loop. Of course cannot compain, life is good and suffering is mostly seen through, gratidute as well is high but but but..

in my opinion the last step is to get rid of all of it. get rid of everything. its a really tough one actually because you can't intend it to happen. for me it was random encounters with realised people which only happened spontaneously. this is more about being lucky than following a method. the method just makes you more lucky. so what i would 'do' is live your truth now and be completely open and sincere - if it doesn't happen then that is ok.

We are Homo Fabulans. We are experts at creating stories spontaneously that justify everything we think, speak, and do. (We think we are always right!) Mind becomes immersed in the story as attention is captured by the narrative. That then feels like reality to us. But it is a reality that we have just authored. However, this is just another story.📚📖

Man, as a (way too) rational person all my life, feeling "stuck" for a long time (I'm 43), always seeking fulfillment outside of myself (substances, relationships, experiences) but never feeling at peace, truly... I've come across "spirituality" even though before I used to think it was all wishy washy bs to con people. But I'm starting to get glimpses of what it's really about. I've been reading Power of Now and came across this channel recently. I (or should I say "I") am fascinated by the subject but I'm totally unsure how to "get there". I know some people have a sudden awakening (like Eckhart Tolle) and others meditate their whole life and only just feel a bit more relaxed but never have an "insight". I think I understand at least conceptually that "I" am not my thoughts, because really they just seem to generate by themselves inside my consciousness. So "I" am consciousness, awareness... I guess. I realise just sort of recognising this conceptually is not awakening (I don't feel any different). Just wondering what is the next step for a "beginner". Do I start meditating a lot? Do I go on a retreat? Do I travel to India? I want to find the peace and wholeness inside of "me", I want to feel it. I find you video's... comforting I guess. Like, reassuring that it is possible to find this. There's a Zen organisation in the city where I live and they organise retreats so maybe I'll try that sometime.

thank you!! question- listening to your talks, i get the impression that so many people have fear and doubts and limiting beliefs around awakening... so am i the only one who is actually afraid of not waking up? i got nothing left to lose in this weird existence, don't care about how my life looks afterwards or stuff like that, don't have anything important that i don't want to let go of, this personality is too awkward anyway so what if it goes, not afraid of "changing" (who cares it's not like there's anything worthwhile enough to keep) so the only thing i actually fear is what happens if i don't go all the way? can't see any real meaning to life here without realization so do you have anything to say to someone who's not afraid to wake up but the other way around? is it too weird? what am i missing? how do i manage to mess up even the one thing that's not based on "succeeding". thank you so much 💗

The you is not the mind. This video describes my situation. It is MY situation, is it not? Not the mind's or ego's or whatever, but belongs to the I. Hmm. I''m still saying it as though the I is an object. So subject I is thinking/writing about object I. But it is all I. The mind cannot be I, so all situations are "my" situations. Even if the mind tries to inject doubt into it now. So this is it right? Maybe not, the doubtful skeptical mind arises again. But that is again I. All that said, I do believe this brought me closer. So the question is, who is this "I"? It can only be Nondual right? It can't be mind? Both the identification and misidentification are being made by Nondual aka me/I!
