Love the build man! The build is very clean, sounds even better! I want to make a recommendation though (and I'm not trying to flame you, I apologize if it comes off that way). I would recommend you look at some of those comments you were talking about from someone else's point of view. The quality of the material doesn't change how much money the viewer makes. You can't say a ferrari is a budget car if it's on sale for 80k when it usually costs 240k. Instead you would call that a good value. The people who type that kind of comment are probably frustrated because they're trying to get into a relatively expensive hard-to-start hobby, and seeing the word "budget" next to what is (for a lot of people) 15-30 hours of work is off-putting. I'm new to the hobby and $150 does actually seem like it's on the lower half, but still. People can put hours into researching parts for a hobby like this, and keyboards has one of the worst markets I've ever seen-- where a huge amount of the parts *rely* on group buys (whoever started this meta in the Keyboard market actually sucks). So on top of that research, people could be waiting months to get a board. For some people, adding even more time to that process saving up can be a big deterrent. Maybe try releasing a build that's as budget as you can get with decent sound, and directing people who make that comment to that video.

Those are definitely the Owlstabs, judging by the wire pads and Teflon tape strips it came with. They look like Durocks, but the hole inside the stems is half-pipe-shaped which tightens the tolerances significantly. Also those wires are suuuper well balanced.

I bought a qk60 last night!, Also for anyone looking to buy one I would definitely think about getting a acrylic top as from other reviews I heard it sounds better than the alu, and also I would look into the WKL and HHKB ones as those have blockers the the qk60 comes with special little things that makes it so you can see a heart or letters like X, q, k etc

Those are the WS aurora. They have 4 fog, blue pink and clear. The clear hasta a different bottom housing top is PC with POM stem

What budget 75% prebuilt keyboard would you recommend? I'm looking at the 5075b plus, and the prebuilt v1. I don't like RGB so that doesn't really matter, and north facing LEDs are fine 👍

The "budget" argument grinds my gears, the operative word is "budget" not "cheapest" and people have to stop for a moment and recognize the difference. If someone wants the absolute cheapest board out there, that's fine; go grab an office surplus $5 membrane Microsoft board or a $20 taobao special and do your thing, but that doesn't disallow a board like the QK60/QK65, Jris65, Zoo65, Q2, Mod008 or Zoom65 and others from being "budget", especially when you look at the huge value most of them are delivering. 60% doesn't work for me, 65% is already pushing me because I use my F-row almost as much as my arrow keys but this is a very sweet sounding board, a little foamy perhaps but if you like it then who am I to say different.

But I just wanted to say that your videos never get old regardless of how many uploads you post, I just enjoy them all and really want to thank you for it. Anyway, have you ever considered showing brief moments of assembly while explaining the build in the video? As example, showing sped up footage of keycap placement or footage of you lubing the switches while explaining the keycaps or switches. I know editing is time consuming coming from a lazy content creator myself, but like you said towards the end of the video that you did not have a lot of footage since it was a relatively easy build. Just an idea that I’ve wondered if you’ve ever taken into consideration. I hope all is well and I’ll see you in the next vid bro, keep it up.

I feel like people are getting paid to overhype this board, I mean you can get that marble and thock from any board nowadays, you just have to mod it correctly. I think the qk65 is better, and people say the qk65 is muted compared to qk60, but if anything it sounds just as muted if not worse

I’ve never been paid to review any keyboard.. if I was then I would have to by law say it.. I can attest that this board is no where near muted in any way, actually it’s kinda loud.. and yes you can get that sound anywhere if you mod any keyboard heavily, but the great thing is that I did no mods here… I really don’t understand your comment..

@@AustinPegoda and how does the qk65 compare in muteness to the qk60? From qk60 sound tests, it sounds more muted than the qk65, but that could be peripheral dependent

@@2b2c1d2 1 sound tests are not accurate 2 many creators who've had their board on hand have legit said this sounds better than the QK65 without foam, and the design is more complex and cooler, the finish is also better as they decided to add finish to both sides of the weight instead of leaving the internal unfinished like the qk65
