Been saying this since the fa24 came out in the subaru ascent in america in 2017, these engines are going to surprise so many people. Prime motoring swapped one into a subaru xv with sti 6 speed. They made just over 500whp before melting a stock piston 😅 keen to see IAG's 1000whp blocks getting around now that they're developed.

Ya fueling is a limitation as well as factory head bolts. We need Radium to release a fuel hanger so I can run my twin walbros with the new norstrum HPFP.

with my FL5 Type R FBO stock turbo stock exhaust stock fuel system i got 270 KW at the hubs 517 NM torque on 98. But 4x4 will kill me from a take off

A full bolt on stock turbo VB WRX makes around the same power and torque at the hubs. A rule of thumb is to add an extra 15-20% when comparing a mainline roller dyno to a hub dyno. So 230KW on a roller is around 270KW on a hub dyno.

Went to Subaru yesterday as mate wanted a forester and sussed the new wrx’s, obviously it’s never going to be like the old gen’s but it’s not too bad in person (sans the horrible STI underside rear Carbon dinner plate)

But in reality if done right its say the 2021 wrx sti its the fuel system e85 inectors fuel pump and a more powerful turbo so please just bring back the STI

@@momoknows I have the 2019 sti with turbo back exhaust, cold air intake and boost controller with pro tune. The new vb tunes better but the transmission is where it will be let down and it’s open diff and awd system won’t apply the power down as good. The new s210 looks nice but needs better power and throw the Cvt in the bin and put 6 speed from va.

So within the first 6 months of purchasing my 2022 VB, I STI trans swapped and running all for STI axles and DSS drive shaft. Sporting the Rotora BBK. besides that it's ETS headers, jpipe and Cobb exhaust. Intake is also ETS as well as front mount. List goes on. Waiting for Cobbs CCF2 flex kit to truly run flex fuel. It's also nice we have a new HPFP from Nostrum. Radium is slow walking a intank fuel pump hanger. Hurry and wait *sigh*.

Truth is the vb drivetrain will never compete with sti drivetrain. It has family car/suv diff and awd system. Also both transmissions will never be as good as the old VA sti 6 speed.
