I like that Sevika is totally helpless in that interrogation scene and could absolutely get herself killed by saying the wrong thing and making Jinx angry, but she chooses to do it anyway because she believes she's helping Silco by showing him what a liability Jinx is. It's the second time she's basically thrown herself on a grenade, ready to die for the cause because she sees their goal as more important than her own survival

The man that is shimmer ravaged and helps Cait get the medicine for Vi, is Huck. He was the one in episode 1 who was in the Last Drop bargaining with the traders who in turn tried to cheat him out of money then Vander came over. Yes, in very tiny doses mixed with other medicines/potions can have a healing effect, it's what Silco uses when he gets in eye injection. Rio is where Singed (the doctor) gets the shimmer from and has continuously been refining it.

Jinx / Powder within the animation has two different face settings, where Powders is more rounded than Jinxs, enabling the animator to switch between the two. Really clever. Also, Caitlyn tells Vi they have to trust each other. Then the next scene, instead of Vi going straight in and fighting as you'd expect, she instead trusts in Caitlyn's idea of knocking the building over. Just a neat detail showing their progression beyond staring into each others eyes.

17:24 holy cow, yes!!!!, most reactor never notice it, that's indeed the origin of shimmer, In that flashback (i.e many years before episode 1) when Viktor was a kid the cave doctor began extracting the source of shimmer from that special animal Rio and kept refining it over the years for consumption (he tells Silco "it's almost ready" ) as we audience see it used/tested for the first time on the rat (at the end of episode 1) and later on for the first time on a human in Deckard (ep 2 and 3).

Yeah the colour alone made me think it was connected in some way. Then when he was “extracting” from the animal it pretty much sold it to me that it was the origin of shimmer! Glad I was right😃

A little additional context for Jayce's brash decision to oust Heimerdinger: It's not just about the research; it's about Viktor. Maybe Jayce can wait a decade, but Viktor's time is up. The Hexcore is his last hope, and Heimer has explicitly stated he will have it destroyed. In Jayce's eyes, stripping Heimer of his authority is the only way he can give Viktor a fighting chance.

This! For context Heimerdinger is over 300 years old and has been in Piltover since it was founded and has been on the council from those early days. The fact that Heimerdinger has been on the council the entire time and has let the Undercity get this bad is ro a degree his fault. Heimerdinger remains too oblivious to whats really going on, hes too complacent. This is a brutal wake up call for him.

Yeah, I think it's sadly the case that Silco doesn't have a soft spot for children. He has a soft spot for Jinx, specifically He has shown he's willing to orphan children, threaten children, use child labor, and even harm or kill children like he planned to in episode 3 if it furthers his goals. It's the reason that even though his goal of independence for the undercity is actually a pretty noble one, his methods make him an absolute monster and villain
