0:50 You can't film inside a cinema because that breaks copyright law. However copyright does not apply to building and structures in the public view. Section 62 of the Copyright Design and Patents act 1984 specifically exempts them from copyright and trademarks. So even if you paid to enter and flew a drone, it's not unlawful. It would give them a reason to ask you to leave or to stop - but they can't enforce it. Not unless the drone was actively flying around people's heads. The reason it's not enforceable is that you can fly the drone whilst stood off-site so the images would still be record. So the necessity to remove or stop you from flying does not exist.

Came here to say exactly this but a lot less detailed. Payment doesn't change what can be filmed. Copyright does. As far as buildings not being subject to copyright, I believe that's true but there is or was talk of a copyright case via Minecraft.

@blackandwhiteaudits YES i know this i was trying to simplify If you pay Historic Scotland to Park on their land or see the Castle or Park in their park then you need to follow their Rules thats all Im not trying to say the castle is under copyright laws in anyway 😮

I used to live in glasgow and was in a band. It just so happens me and the band smoked bongs in the dark green bush at the corner of the castle. I burst out laughing watching this video. Nice 1.

As ThatGoth2 mentioned this rule can apply at the area beyond the sign (for takeoff) but cannot apply to anyone flying from any other location outwith the property not least since you have not accepted their terms of entry and indeed may not have ever even seen the sign. If the CAA does not prohibit it then fly away

Great Info again as always mate 👍🏻 if anyone knew anything i missed it be yourself and someone who ive turned to for info in the past as you miss nothing, im unsure if the exact location the Drone Flyer who got hunted took off from of he was within the perimeter fence, i was also getting a few frowned stares from Dog Walkers when i was flying Drone as if they knew about sign and weren’t happy at me being there 😮👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Lovely footage of the place. Only been ever down there once and it was years ago when my laddie was wee. We didn't go inside, we just walked round the outside. Shame to see it still lying like that after 2 years.

Had a long chat with the sight supervisor when i flew he was actually brand new the main issue they have at bothwell is all the toffs with there big houses are constantly complaining about drone noise and having there property filmed. His attitude was well you buy a big house right next to a tourist attraction then start complaining about people filming and taking photos it your own fault but the staff are sick of them constantly complaining but to help could we go across the river and fly from there so he could tell the toffs to p#ss off cause he has no control if we fly from outside the grounds and across the river is a way better place to fly from nice big park no obstacles or interference 😁👍

Great info mate, yeah your right about the locals as i was getting some weird stares from the locals walking their dogs because i had my GoPro on and then some of them stop and talking to each other and pointing when i put Drone up, i just assumed it was because there was a No Drone sign and i was flying but it was maybe them who was annoyed as they are the ones with issue, none of them approached me though at time, but hope to go back with drone when its covered in snow as make some nice footage 😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏻

@@Droneauditsscotland yeh mate they will have went strait into there big houses and batterd the staff rotten with complaints rather than face you cause your obviously an undesirable and probably live in a tin shed in a council getto cause your flying a drone and this is such discusting unbecoming behavior 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 I have been physically attacked verbally abused and even had my house broken into and a load of gear stolen by the police cause of sky KARRENS giving false reports

Legally they can stop you droning from any and all British Heritage sites but can not stop you flying over.

Yeah noticed that mate also when doing my research , thats why i stayed outside of perimeter fence as National Trust had a few wee iffy points i on their website 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😮
