Regarding the 20A circuit & breakers in American homes. My understanding is most services in older homes have 15A circuit breakers for general use, and 20A or even 30A breakers for utilities (washer/dryer/hot water tank/garage etc). Some newer homes may have 20A or larger AND it's accompanying larger gauge wiring all around only if specified during the original build or during an upgrade. I live in New England USA. My apartment building was built in 1900, and has had several renovations including it's electric service. My apartment is serviced by 15A breakers, except one outlet in the living room. That one outlet is located inside a faux fireplace recess (with a mantle and built in shelves on either side) intended to house an ornamental electric fireplace that has long since disappeared. It has its own singularly devoted 20A circuit breaker. That one outlet is the only device on it's circuit. That's the outlet I use for my higher wattage mining rigs from Autumn to Spring for mining and supplemental heat. BTW, great work as always! Hope this helps, and Good luck All!

My home was built in 2005 and we run on a 150A panel that mostly has 15A breakers for the bedrooms and living room and rest of the house, the only 20A is for the fridge, microwave, stuff like that which I doubt anybody gonna unplug for the miner. Wish I had more space for a sub panel hook up but only option is to Get a bigger 200A panel and have more room for more breakers but that's so expensive plus requires a new meter from the city too. =(

We have it, but it's pretty much for RV hookups or other things that aren't the norm. Like I had one installed for my AC input on my solar inverter. But from what I've seen, most people don't have them.

Its an rv/camper plug... or its used in the twistloc for tools or speciality. Not at all common

Electrician here, yes they exist and they require specialty NEMA L5-30 plugs along with 10 gauge wire minimum (thicker than typical 15-20 amp circuits). While theoretically possible to install in a home, if you were going to go to the work of installing a new fuse/plug/wire anyway and this is like 99% of residential homes in the US where service is 120/240v single phase then just install the 240v circuit for virtually the same $ and gain better efficiency

Thanks, living in Hawaii, we have .44/kw electric now, Feb it goes to Time Of Use (TOU) with 3 rates, .1886 9a-5pm,, .5658 from 5p - 9p and .3772 from 9pm to 9am. None of the miners are worthwhile here. Have thought about remote mining but don't know about that. Maybe here, just buy the Coin.... Thanks Seb.

It is not worth it, it is another product that arrives late to the market with an overpriced price, there are many ASICs on the network which makes the difficulty increase and the price of KASPA does not increase, it can be held yes but currently a miner with that consumption does not give to pay for electricity
