this is something from my childhood that i always loved and would get excited to eat. not something that i would necessarily think of when people ask about my favorite korean dishes. happy to see this recipe shared here!

I loved your presentation! I’ve never had or used perilla oil and watching and stopping the video 4-5 times I was unable to figure out the brand of oil that you used. Would you be so kind as to put the name of it in a reply as well as what YOUR favorite brand or brands are. I’m looking forward to experimenting with this oil as well as duplicating your recipe. It looked absolutely delicious!! Thanks.

Thank you, John! You can pause the video at 4:55 for a close-up, and here is the link to the bottle of perilla oil I used: fresh.hmart.com/8801045448305 - please enjoy and report back! 😊
@johnkochanowski81943 жыл бұрын
Hana, thank you for the link. Unfortunately hmart was out of it, but I found it plus a cold pressed perilla oil that I purchased as well on Amazon. They’re both arriving in a couple of days, so I’ll make your recipe with each, and report my results back to you. Again, thanks for the link!

Hello! Could you explain why some people add cold water when cooking the noodles, like you said your mom does? Thank youu!!
@HanaAsbrink3 жыл бұрын
Hi Eleni! My mom does this because she says it improves the texture/chew of the soba noodle, but I'm not entirely convinced I can taste a difference so I just do it the way I like to do it. 😆 4 minutes (no more, no less) with a nice drain/rinse in cold water afterwards - enjoy!
