@Dodgeram1500hd2 жыл бұрын
Less razor tail than a standard deck, if you skate indoor parks a lot, you could use it for a few years in that environment, The streets will eventually raise your tailor but I think you could get a solid 6 months on the street on one deck, I manage that and I snap wood decks about once every 3 days. And yes, before you ask I have had multiple capsule decks. They are 100% legitimate

I feel like people are missing the point, it's the equivalent of a paper bag vs a plastic bag. Sure a paper bag is better for the environment, however its not nearly as durable, and 5 paper bags are worse for the environment than 1 plastic bag. So if the board lasts 5x as long as a wooden board it's probably better for the environment. Also it's not just the trees that determine the environmental footprint of a board. Even if the wood is sustainably sourced (which it might not be) you have to account for the energy required to produce the board, transport it and dispose of it. Finally you have to account for the damage that using the land for agriculture does to the environment. So at a minimum it'll save you money, and possibly be better for the environment depending on how long it lasts you, from what I've seen I don't see how you'd destroy it with normal use, so I'm inclined to believe it's better for the environment

I brought one of these because of this video. It's still going strong but it does have its cons. It razor tails real easy so you have to not drag your tail as much as possible. Apart from that it's been a great board and the best part is putting clear grip tape on it so you can kinda see the carbon fibre
@littleefizz Жыл бұрын
I've been skating one of these for years now, I am just now replacing it, and it isn't broken, but my hardware is super recessed into the deck material from years of tightening the trucks. Definitely recommend it (I'm 215 lbs. and stomp my tricks) the slight flex that it has actually makes me hurt my feet and ankles less.

If the board snapped with the prius stunt, the splinters could have seriously hurt someone with how close you were. Be careful guys. The stronger a material is, the more force it takes to break it, and when it breaks, all that force goes somewhere.
@epr89742 жыл бұрын
I honestly think the car stunt is nowhere near enough to break most boards. It looks cool, but even on a flexy traditional deck I feel like it's more likely that the trucks bend rather than the board straight up snapping.
@Whawpenshaw2 жыл бұрын
@@epr8974 It's GENERALLY a very bad idea, ESPECIALLY when dealing with a new material (which this board was), to stick your face next to it while trying to break it. Keep doing that and someone's gonna get real hurt eventually.
