The McGregor PLEASE!! They have an adjustable for $149. After your original review of the Stix clubs i got them during their Christmas sale. Like you said they mark up somewhat easily (or.could be playing from the rough A LOT) HOWEVER, good clubs for us beginners. The driver has helped straighten out drives being a stiff shaft but i have lost distance i hit 3 wood as far and as straight. Thanks for your work for all of us "mere mortals".

My Stix Review: I Started golfing last year, and I bought the 999$ Stix set (it's a full set minus Gap/Flop wedge.) So far, I've hit probably 10,000 balls with them, and the IRONS are good. They have a ton of pop in their sweet spot. The hybrid is also pretty good. But, the (original) "performance" DRIVER and WOODS are NOT GOOD, especially if you are TALL and order the +1 inch shaft length! My driver head snapped off at the neck (or hosel or w/e it's called.) But, in ONE DAY the customer service sent me another one, free of charge. So, the warranty and customer service is very good.

To my eye that's a pretty good looking club. Especially the red on black center stripe. I have a set of Stix wedges that I really love and they have a red stripe in the bottom grove. Nice consistency in design. I agree with you that the price is a touch high. $329 would make it more enticing to a wider base of golfers. BTW, it looks like that extra stiff shaft did a really good job of straightening out your usual draw.

When I started playing golf last summer, I got a set of Stix for me and my son-in-law. I thought they were really good as a starter set and the customer service was incredible (my son-in-law had a ding on the driver crown and they sent him another driver within three days). We’ve both moved on to fitted sets, but they performed well were about a quarter of the price of the clubs I’m using now. The headcover has definitely been an upgrade. It’s a shame they don’t have a fitting process however. But for anyone who is looking for good clubs at a decent price that have a little style to them, Stix is not a bad way to go imo.

Really like seeing all these reviews of clubs other than the majors. At $379 I think you could get a driver from one of the majors that’s a year or two old and get the same deal or even better. Plus be able to get the shaft you need. Great review.

Yes not at that price for me. I'd go a Stealth 2 for about that price nowadays, or the Tour Edge Exotics, Cleveland XL2

Looks and sounds impressive. I remember you first trying the Stix irons. They also looked impressive. I think if the driver was nearer 300 dollars that would be an improvement. I have followed your videos for years now and if the driver had been in your specs, we would all have been excited.

Good review. I bought a set of Tour Edge C524’s irons and 3 wood for our second place. 1/2 the price of my ping 430’s even with graphite shafts. Like there feel. Only problem is the Lamkin grips. Those are awful grips. Will be switching those out with GP grips. Tried the Legato balls and felt the Wilson Triads carried farther. Legato’s were nice golf balls but the Triads were better in my mind.

I have the complete Stix Perform set, which I love. The driver never let me down, but when the new Compete driver came out I had to have one. Supposedly they originally made 100 of them and I was lucky enough to get one. I've used it 3 times and I can't complain. I'm 63 with a swing speed of about 101. I consistently hit 250 yard draws and on Tuesday I mashed one 272. So, for me, it's been a great purchase, as has the Stix irons and wedges and putter I have. No complaints. Keep up the great work and, like someone else commented, try some Maltby drivers and putters. I'd be interested in your thoughts. Steve.

It’s a good, sleek looking driver, but it would definitely be hard to justify buying this when a brand new Aerojet is like $300 or an LTDx is $250.

I paid 300 for a mint cobra ls with a linq stiff. My ss is 102 and my drives a further than the Stix. For $379, there are much better options

Great review! I am looking for a 2nd driver option, as I am ok with my current club but love to have something else (it is always the club's fault - right?). I have been looking at anything cheaper from the TourEdge C524 Hot Launch to new but last year's models to going the used route. I love that there are options versus going with something new from the big boys that costs $600+ when I already know most of my specs, preferred shafts, etc. But agree that there are probably better options for the money.

Buying a year or two year old model brand new is the way to go. Really not much difference from year to year and you can save a ton of money.

Great stuff Gabe! I just watched a review of the Eleven NH 01 Driver today(AskGolfNut) and that also appears to be a phenomenal deal for the price, performance & customization. I know you tested their hybrids but wanted to know if this may be on deck in the near future. They do ship to the US, which certainly increases the price unless you have a promo code to offset.

Hey Gabe, you need to make a worst of list. I enjoy that you get to show SO many different clubs but it seems you like them all lol. I need to know what to avoid more than anything. I play the new Mizuno stg 2024 driver, also have the srixon zx5 mkii LS driver, rogue x 4 and 7 wood, Wilson staff cb irons, ping 56° wedge and a ping heppler tyne 3 putter.

From a marketing standpoint, think they’re positioning vs high end rather than entry-level. New GT will probably be $660+. So Stix seems pretty affordable.

Unless the hole is straight, distance left to the pin is a poor data point for measurement of drive distance. You can hit it the same distance and depending on angles, can have different distances to the pin.

I can get a Cobra LTDx driver from 2022 brand new for $200-250 or a brand new AeroJet driver from 2023 for $300. I'd take either one all day long over this driver. I'm all for the little brands making a move, but for me to buy this driver, it needs to be $200. No more. There are too many better drivers available for less than $379 brand new if you're willing to buy something that came out a year or 2 ago, but honestly a 2-year old Cobra or any big brand driver has more technology than this driver.

I would go after pxg gen 5 driver for 289 or even the gen 6 for 449, at 379 for stix is way to expensive and very little resale value.

I'd love to win this Stix driver. If I win the driver I will use it as a raffle prize at the local municipal course. I will donate the proceeds from the raffle to the local junior golf program. Our Junior Golf program for years has been able to give opportunity to kids who used it to develop skills which provided them with scholarships for educational purposes that resulted in college degrees. Your giving act, combined with my efforts to support junior golf, will be an excellent example of leaving the game better than we found it!! If I win I will post the results of our efforts ! As you said this shaft isnt your choice, therefore its an interesting review but not particularly valid. If your launch monitor is correct youre maybe 10+ mph off needing an X flex. Think this may account for your added accuracy but poor carry distance due to an overly low ball flight which lookedby eye between maybe 10-12° which is 3 or 4 degrees from optimal atyour speed. To give you credit though you do mention the shaft not being suited a number of times. Would be great to see youhit this in a stiff flex! Nice video regardless keep up the good content

Great review, this driver will outperform 90 percent of golfers that use it. I see guys with $1000 dollars invested in the driver they have and still cannot hit the fairway every time.
