Converge was the first band that taught me that metalcore doesn't have to be shitty, my previous conceptions of the genre was the emo stuff that was popular at the time. Big mistake, as it turns out

Converge is in my Mt Rushmore of bands, period. They’re living legends and hit harder than bands half their age.

On an earlier album to Axe To Fall, You Fail Me, there are two songs, "First Light" (instrumental) and "Last Light." "Last Light" touches on some related or similar ideas to "Dark Horse." I wonder if the light in "Dark Horse" may also be a reference to those earlier songs.

Amazing way to open Axe to Fall, and if you wanna hear them make music a bit different, then I’d say listen to Viscera of Men from their collab Bloodmoon 1 in 2021, they’re a killer band, amazing reaction man!
