awesome job Stacheman. I had a similar situation when I visited my gf in Florida. Hooked into a 5+ pound bass and gave the rod to the kid that just randomly started chillin with me. As I started to give him tips and instructions he ripped it upwards with all his might and snapped the line. He was bummed but enjoyed every second

I had a similar experience 30 years ago, wanted to go to the bathroom at the park and I saw some fishermen bringing in trout and I walked up to them and asked if I could try. I don't have a boat but from a child I've learned to appreciate all the creeks and spillways that are available to me!! Weird coincidence..I've noticed how much you clear your throat and play with the drag...I do the EXACT SAME THING!! people used to pick at me about if...but I Was the one doing ALL THE CATCHING! LOL! BTW....There's NOTHING like seeing a kid smile SOO BIG at catching a fish! I can imagine the times when I was about his age and pulling in a huge catfish or fish period of some size...but unfortunately..there's was Noone around to capture that moment....thank God there's people like you that can make a kid smile 😃
