A couple of years ago my mom and I watched a found footage horror movie. I don't remember what it was called, but it was about a reporter and her cameraman going to a building for some kind of news story and then getting locked in because the building was going into quarantine. There was some kind of illness affecting the residents, that was zombie virus adjacent. I remember there was this really cool shot they did, where the cameraman literally used the camera, that he was filming with, to bash an infected's head open. It was crazy! I didn't know found footage films were a whole subgenre of movies, I thought that it was just this one's weird shtick. That's really interesting!

The Blair Witch Project, the original Paranormal Activity, all those. So good!!
