It’s ok and wicked implement on a stasis turret lock isn’t that great the tracking for normal shards is too far away especially in hard content the only ones that have that much health. So it doesn’t self load itself it’s nice it freezes stuff but you need to use ice flare to take advantage, but then you aren’t using either turret or shards

I don't understand why people don't like this gun. In pve, it synergizes great with the existing stasis kit and the current armor charge system, as well as being fantastic against champions, and it's a hard hitting exotic primary so you get more super energy and damage. In pvp, yea its not in the best archetype, but after a bakris dodge you're hitting a .67 ttk, not to mention how sticky and smooth this gun feels.

It would seem people still think double special is the key to success... In every single solo flawless run of dungeons, exotic missions, campaigns etc. That I've done, none of them used double special, most barely even used a single special outside of boss dps, enemy control has pretty much always been the job of primary ammo weapons, only special I've ever used for that role is agers and briefly ignition code.

This gun looks insane. The Hive looks mixed with the shimmer effects are really nice. It's just a shame the weapon itself sucks. Like, great, it can deal with all 3 champion types, but if you're using a Stasis subclass why not just throw Coldsnap to freeze the enemy which nullifies the enemy until you shatter it? The only thing you have to worry about is Overload since it'll just heal up constantly. Or you could just Suspend, which nullifies the enemy until the effect wears off. There's so many options to deal with Champions without having to use the proper effect that this gun doesn't really matter. It's a shame it looks insane but the effects are lame.

@@baltonus1120 It does take less shots than what you think to freeze. Once you land 3 headshots it will activate the perk, allowing slow stacks on headshot. That means after the initial activation, it only takes 3 headshots to freeze a target as long as you keep the perk active by landing precision hits.

When the slow shots are active it only takes 3 precision hits in PvE to freeze targets. It takes 4 shots on one target to get the slow effect and an additional 2 shots to freeze, but once the perk is active it only takes 3 shots.

Both Stasis and Strand has abilities that can stop enemies, leaving them vulnerable. I wonder what the third Darkness Subclass will be like, and if that will also have enemy debuffing abilities.

While all classes can work for all types of guardians, I believe that stasis was most ideal for Warlocks, and it seems strand is aligned to hunters (with the flamboyant mega-mobility), IMO. As such, I'd like to see Bungie lean into an all-out aggression dark class ideal for Titans (essentially Berserker Dark Side force wielder.) I have no idea how to balance that, though, which is why they "get paid the big bucks".

By the time you’ve frozen a target your magazine is empty. This is purely for locking down champions before hitting them with a proper damage weapon. It does have some rather insane hit registration in PVP too. Overall: a little too janky to be fun, and a little too weak to be useful. There are better alternatives.

I'm not so sure about this weapon. I copied your build and tested it in a Nightfall, and at most managed to actually freeze 3 bosses. Did half damage of the rest of the fireteam. Not worth the primary exotic slot, this is going straight to the vault. I'd rather use a Rufus's Fury.

It has the feel/theme of a weapon from the season pass rather than the new hot ticket item around. TBH its a touch lack luster, dare I say boring. I would rather take my randys with zen/tremors than this, thus leaving the exotic slot open for something else. If the up the rpm then I would certainly take a second look at it.

Never gonna get it, the mino's spawn so far away so by the time you get to the extremely chonky boss - 5 mins are up for 1 damage phase 😂 and everybody on lfg just dies, over and over

The first 3 minos spawn in the corners of the map almost everytime, kill two quickly, then have two people run to the big middle area. Have third person kill the last mino and immediately run to the middle for damage phase. after damage phase is over just stay in the middle area. All minos should spawn in the middle at each corridor leaving the middle area. murder them as they spawn and you should never have to leave that middle area. has worked every time for me when I was helping people get this weapon. We finished with over 4 minutes left each time. have one person on divinity and the other two people using a good linear. makes it so you can keep getting crits even if the boss is facing away from you. We also had at least two forbearance to deal with ads spawning around us. I was running well so that we could just stand in the center the whole time and I used phoenix protocol so that I always had my well for the start of each damage phase. If you have a 2nd well no one should ever die for any reason.

It's similar, but not the same. Notable that Ager's doesn't inflict Slow or Freeze in the neutral. If you kill an enemy, then sure, you spread Stasis very easy that way, as well you get around this by supercharging the weapon--but that's not always a guarantee in higher-tier content, and it's definitely not a guarantee as an anti-champion tool. In seasons without Overload Trace, this would certainly be a better choice as an anti-champion tool without any previous setup. No disrespect to Ager's, it's my absolute favorite exotic of all time, I use it constantly. But there are innately things that Ager's doesn't do.

It’s a scout rifle with a much lamer version of Chill Clip. Why use this over the other Stasis exotics or a Riptide? Give it Shoot to Loot that picks up Stasis shards, then maybe we can talk.

This is really not a good weapon in the current sandbox, the synergy with stasis is good, and that you can essentially deal with all champ types is its best attribute, and if thats all you need and dont need to worry about other things cuz your teammates got the damage then sweet, all you famsky, but it is a 180rpm scout, damage is poor, and if you want to freeze things there is agers scepter, or even riptide that isn't taking your exotic slot, or literally all stasis nades, you can even make various osmiomancy builds that perma freeze everything without needing an exotic weapon, while haveling a heavy hitting load out. If you like the gun cool! But it does nothing better than other weapons, it is very mid to poor. If you're running Bakris to make this gun less cheeks, that's some titanic levels of effort and copium. It is not difficult to make stasis shards/crystals, and the stasis subclass itself isn't benefitting from the seasonal mods so you run it a bit understrength compared to strand and arc. Not sure about titans with ice lances. This gun really needed collective action on its catalyst

I'd love to get this weapon. but everytime i go into a deep dive the fireteam I'm with etiher leaves, makes the mission harder, or just ignores it for the regualr dive. even though they activate the statues. The mission doesn't let players join in after someone quits so half the time I'm running solo. And its not becuse of servers all the time. I see players taking out thier ghosts. I wish you could report players after they leave, because its getting on my F-ing nerves.
