Regardless of your agreement of wheather Heathrow Terminal 4 is a new Elizabeth Line station or not, it is nice to have a video letting people know that the station and terminal 4 are back open again. Also the line to Terminal 4 station is not a diversion, it is a separate branch from the line going to Terminal 5 station. You can not get a train from Terminal 4 stright to Terminal 5, without having to change trains at Terminals 2 & 3.

Do you know why they've stopped using Platform 5 at Hayes and Harlington? For a while, they were using Hayes as a terminus which was convenient as there was always a train there to get on. A bit like the central line at Ealing Broadway

There were proposals for London Overground to take over the Greenford branch line and retain the Class 165/166 DMUs or to inherit the Class 172/0 that were used on the GOBLIN Line. But now they are with West Midlands Railway. It could still happen.

I don't think it matters if the Greenford branch line is operated by GWR or TfL (or rather their contractors such as the MTR Corp.) since it would likely continue to be under Network Rail ownership but imo the branding should probably be merged into a single London entity like what is seen in places like Birmingham where stations now have "West Midlands Metro" branding but what could ultimately be better is line closure and conversion into a light railway and extended north and south similar to conversion of the Wimbledon-Croydon and the other lines which were converted into the Croydon Tramlink between 1997 and 2000 and the same should probably also be done with the Romford-Upminister line and all the other suburban railway branch lines in London which does not operate services directly into central London at a frequency of >every 30mins daily.

What will happen to the Heathrow Express service when the Elizabeth line fully opens? Edit: I know that it's scheduled to continue service, but I'm curious of what could happen in the long term.

Heathrow express is, as it says an "express" service. It does not stop at any stations other than paddington and the Heathrow terminals, and its more expensive. Whereas the elizabeth line is cheap, slower, and stops at every station between Paddington and the Heathrow terminals. So, probably nothing will happen. -Celeste

@@SpeedBird6780 Well Heathrow Connect always offered a cheaper service compared to HEX. But interesting, will the through train from Liverpool Street say be quicker than HEX when doing a walk. Of course for hotels and other line interchanges at Paddington the Heathrow Express remains a fast option. Ideally running a chord to Reading at Harlington would give a good fast Reading - Slough - Heathrow - Paddington Option.

Nice to see Heathrow Terminal 4 station now reopened. Transport for London should introduce trains running from Shenfield and Abbey Wood to Heathrow T4, Heathrow T5 and Slough. And maybe next year to increase services to 16tph or 18tph. And yes I had to delete my previous comments because Im afraid that I'm getting more trash comments on my comment box.
