It is good to see working hands making things not from " new" materials , but from scraps of whatever and especially enjoyed putting in the " dimple " at 1:57 with a rivet head excellent work. And for the people who think it isn't much ... Go out and build something!

Great idea using the old bike chain links as brackets, their hardened steel is definitely up to the task--I will borrow this great idea! This tool would be useful all over the garage and house, and you made it!

Nice idea but won't last long since the tensioner gets rounded quick with heavier loads. Maybe do double it up like a high lift jack?

Nice little tool. I never have a shim around when I need to do stuff like this and sometimes there isn't enough room at the bottom for me to get my boot under it to lift it. I will probably use my powerarc and weld a tool something like this

There's an automotive mechanic's tool just like that. It's placed between the front edge of the driver's seat and the brake pedal. It's handy for checking brake lights, checking automatic transmission fluid levels, and bleeding brakes. The only difference is, the automotive tool has a longer rod (reaches farther).

Je pense à utiliser cet outil pour repousser le piston de mes étriers de freins lors de mon prochain changement de plaquettes. I think about using it to set back the piston on my brake calipers next time I change the brake pads.

Yeah, but the channel name makes up for it though lol. Also hes a craftsman, not an editor clearly :D Honestly I have no use for a door setter and mostly enjoyed this for awakening the ideas of all the things in which I could repurpose a caulk gun to do.

Why not just buy a set of cheap wedges to do that? After you've finished with them you can then use them to hold the same door open.

Chuck G Ok I didn't think they come that small, I used to do finish carpentry, and I had to install a lot of doors ,I used my flat bar,but yes I checked them out, pretty neat.

JOE KING Yes yes they are , they work with a hand pump like a BP cuff has , and a finger valve so you can really ajust them to perfect , I used to do the bar thing also until I got turned on to these , now I don't leave home without them and there non slip also , really very well worth the money ,.

*First these projects are amazing!* _Please please please_ add the tools function to the description. So it can be searchable. You can leave the terrible old hat click-bait titles if you think that will get more views than targeting tool heads and "off the grid" demographics directly..

Can’t really tell what he did with it because a bunch of videos popped up on the screen and block the view. If it has anything to do with setting doors and then I have to say it’s pretty lame. They sell wedges at Home Depot for a few bucks that do the job really well
