If you want to add a whole other flavor bomb to this, make a crumble to go on top of it. Melted butter, brown sugar, and flower. Mix it all together and crumble it on top of the sweet potatoes and put your marshmallows on top of the crumble.

My mouth is watering! Can I give you a pro tip? I roast my sweet potatoes in the oven. I don’t put anything on them, I just put a piece of parchment paper on the pan and lay them on top. I cook them on 400° until they start to ooze the sugary juice. Then, once they are cool, I put them in a bowl like you did and I get the handmixer. Beat the sweet potatoes with the handmixer and just slowly pull the mixer out while it is still on. Be careful, so it doesn’t throw sweet potatoes everywhere. 😂 You can lower the speed slowly as you pull the beaters out. You will have all those fibrous strings from the sweet potato stuck to your beaters. Rinse them off in the sink and repeat this process three or four times. It will give you the smoothest sweet potatoes ever!!!!! I wish I could eat at your house. My family hates the marshmallows, but I love them!!! This is exactly how Mama taught us to make Sweet Potato Pone. To keep it from being "stringy" she would rinse the beaters off several times until few, if any, strings remained. This step results in a smooth, melt in your mouth Pone!! Always a dinner favorite!

this is one thing that i really love and cold too. it can be swapped out from evaporated milk to coconut milk and leave sugar out putting marshmallows on top with nuts. Something GOOD!

Yes, you can do 1 cup white sugar, or 1 cup brown sugar, or you can do 1/2 white sugar., And 1/2 brown sugar!😉
