I think the old lane swap meta in MSI was so boring because the turrets had zero resistances so both teams ended up with equal gold and t1 towers gone in like 8 minutes. In worlds it was more "we lane swap to get bot lane level 3 and avoid a bad early game 2v2 bot but in exchange we lose a lot more plates bot because top tower has a bulwark before 5 minutes" Then they usually swapped back and we got back to regular laning. It also meant that top laners had to pick more tanky/anti dive champs like K'Sante or Gragas etc. or just be very good at avoiding the dive/dealing with the consequences of it. I feel like at worlds there was more to the lane swap than just 3 top and 3 bot all taking plates and feeding their ADC like it was in MSI.

You have to remember, the fact he plays stuff like jarvan, vi, galio, gragas and kayn not only shows baus actually has a decent enough champ pool, its also that most of those picks in his hands turn into flex picks. You can easily pick him galio or jarvan and rotate to something else like gragas later in draft, flexing galio mid and j4 jg. Or you can go vi kayn and now their team has to actually gamble on who is playing who, while baus and velja can discuss it and swap picks at any time in draft, even after both are locked in. It makes it insanely hard for the enemy team to prepare for and draft against

There's no chance that any of these players in their prime would be able to beat DOFGK - and it's not an issue of player skill. Top tier teams are all about teamwork and communication and you can hear how chaotic and unorganised their comms are here. Even if you out-skill your lane counterparts, you'll still lose badly due to lower coordination.

Baus' champ pool isn't that bad, he can just make some adjustments to his Jax build, and he'll be fine on that, his Galio is fine, Gragas, Sion(?), he plays Ambessa now as well, and how hard would it be for him to pick up Renekton? He should probably learn some other meta champions, maybe Camille?

Honestly he wouldn't play Camille for the life of him, he only plays champs with high to very high wave clear in all stages of the game. But there are a decent amount of champs that are viable in pro play and can clear waves
