We were doing the loop last week with my wife, and I wish I had watched your video before... We ended up in this restaurant too in Mae Sariang for dinner, and we got similar bad attitude from the staff there (no slapping things on the table for us though), and we were not entirely sure why. She seemed quite impatient to take our order right after giving us the menu, and I told her politely that we would need some more time to choose and she did not seem to take it well). Their food tasted good though, so we quickly forgot about their attitude, but seeing that you had an even worse experience than us, it's quite clear they regularly treat their customers like that. Nowhere else on our trip we encountered anything like this, we had worse food but always better hospitality, so I fully agree with you, people doing the loop should avoid this restaurant, there are better choices out there for sure.

Hi, thanks for the comment. This was the only place I ever felt bad vibes in Thailand. My food was ok, just the service was bit off. Interesting to hear that you got the same. I thought they was just having a bad day or something. Hope you enjoyed the loop. Thanks

BMW is my bike of choice in the US. Mine is the 1250GS. I just sold my C650GT but wish I did not. Best scooter on the market. Fully auto and great storage lots of power and very capable of highway travel. Oh well. Once I am in Thailand though I go with Honda because getting a BMW repaired in Thailand is tough except in either Bangkok or Chiang Mai anything outside of the cities is almost impossible. I am buying a Honda CB500 there with a few storage options.

@brentonlett341711 ай бұрын
I didn't like that restaurant either, the food wasn't that great nor the service, so you don't have it alone. I've ridden the loop several times now and those big bikes aren't necessary, in fact they're a pain in the backside because they're too hard to manoeuvre around. You need a 500-800cc bike for most of the roads in Northern Thailand. I'm seeing heaps of BMW 1250s, what an overkill!
@WalkAboutWayne11 ай бұрын
I don't know what it was, It just felt like bad vibes because I didn't order much. Most bikers was buying loads of beers and stuff. Maybe I was a bit knackered but it felt bad vibes. Yes I agree, scooter is fine, although it would be nice on a bit bigger bike 👍

Didn't you go down the street that runs parallel to the river? You've got restaurants there, we always eat at the Corriander in Redwood, you've got the Mai Sariang pub as well that does food, quite a few places down that road, we stay at a bungalow place there.
