Ok the case has been solved. Turns out the Themberchaud list going 3-0 was actually just a meme, and while it technically was submitted to an event, it never saw play and only received draws. The legend snowballed online, which is why I couldn’t actually find the results. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I will do better research next time before putting up a list like this. But glad we solved the case lol

It's definitely the latter, This deck is legitimately sweet. It's a fun dragon theme that bombs people's stuff and can do WAY more damage from sticking a single brash taunter (or stuffy doll, ect. ect.) than you'd expect. But it's not a CEDH deck. Nothing about it really makes it a CEDH deck. It's just a mid-power commander deck with some fast mana/a couple CEDH staples in it, so it's probably a little overwhelming for a true casual table. Once again, not that there's anything WRONG with that, but if this deck DID pull off a 3-0 at a CEDH event it's just like... how? lol (which is also a thing that can happen from time to time, good matchups, bad draws, ect. Magic just has too many variables for the best deck to win all the time)

I have a casual deck built for this chonky boy. No crypt, or any high end gas. I use a lot of copy effects, and Flickr effects. I break parity with a little life gain or asymmetrical additional burn. I don’t think I have lost a game with him yet.

the more i learn about cedh and what deck win, the more i realize there is a bit of a circlejerk/echochamber problem with cedh analysis. there are plenty of decks that can 3-0. decks most people would under estimate for sure. because individual skill level matters a lot more than people are willing to fully introspect on. like i saw someone with literally all the fast mana in the world in a deck and many staples call teir deck a 7 recently. we forget many decks can punch above their weight class pretty easily if the pilot is smart and playing to win. this also looks so much like my Themberchaud deck i plan on building

This looks like a deck I'd build for a casual pod (except for the fast mana, blasts and wheel), how does it win cEDH games? It looks harmless in a world with thoracles and worldgorgers. I really would love a follow up where you can deep dive and find the strategy.

I think the deck is built assuming that everyone else will be working to stop the fast combo players, enabling the Themberchaud player to take advantage. "Stax loses to EDHRec.deck and this is EDHRec.deck." It's a complete meme deck, but when CEDH is so brutally inbred that players just don't plan for anything but the topmost decks, any deck that just doesn't bother playing on that axis has a natural advantage. It's like Slicer - "aggro isn't good in CEDH" means that no one is preparing to beat aggro in CEDH.
