Sounds similar, but necessitas decir "that skin was used by Lt..." o "Lt. Owen Crippa used that skin..." Other than that pretty much perfect!

Fun Fact: The Aermacchi MB339 is fabricated by italian manufacturer Aermacchi and it's used today by the Aeronautica Miliare (Italian Air Force) as a trainer and as the plane of the "Frecce Tricolori". Which is their aerobatics team.

cool little story about the 339, one pilot, i think his name was Owen Crippa, stumbled upon a british group and had to fly in between their ships to get away, had very light ordinance, rockets and whatever guns the 339 has iirc, he claimed he fired it all but didnt see any damage, so instead made a drawing of their positions and rtb to report his findings

Dude, mad props! I have many hobbies, one of which is R/C aircraft that includes turbine powered jets. The MB-339 was my first turbine jet and they fly fantastic. They are really good at what they were designed to do. My 339 had a Wren 15lb thrust turbine that I built from a kit. It ran on kerosine/jet A and was a really really good flier. Very stable, not super fast but very forgiving as a turbine trainer. So yeah, Im gonna get that module I think.

Before he flew the F-111C, my father flew the MB-326 for the RAAF and while not exactly the same as the 339; this video gives me a good sense of it's dogfighting capabilities! One of the main ways they trained with the MB-326 was practice dogfighting with cameras in place of the guns! Scarily there was a time they almost collided during one of these practices, quite interesting his stories about his time in the air force! Thanks for the awesome video as usual! The Macchi has the handicap that the wings are very much overloaded, huge wingtip tanks and gunpods are not helping the wing loading as well. Remember that the Soviets removed the wing armament of the Airacobra (which is a shame we don't have in DCS!) to lower the wingloading and increase the roll rate. Also Macchi doesn't have an all moving tail just the old conventional horizontal stuff. Even against these handicaps it flies wonderfully.

The Stabilator (all moving tail) is only a real advantage in the transonic to supersonic regime. The Aermacchi isn't fast enough to really need that, and since a Stabilator also tends to make lighter aircraft unplesantly sensitive to pitch inputs at low airspeed, it's not something you would typically design into a trainer.

What I like about this series and the outmatched series is, the narrative explaining the back and forth of the dog fight. It’s kind of like sitting in on someone else’s dog fighting instruction. I get to hear the reasons for the action and reaction, and see principles demonstrated.

The A-10 is very tough and hard to kill with the gun. Even if it's hit, don't cross his front because chances are the pilot is still alive due to the bullet-proof titanium tub surrounding him, enabling him to still fire back like what happened. Also, there's no assurance of total plane disablement unless you see it spin downwards in thick black smoke.

You realize that you know nothing about BFM because, well, you've been lucky to get 10 hours of airtime per year over the last decade and during peacetime the VKS basically functions like a giant pyramid scheme. As you instinctively turn toward the ancient aircraft you see its nose come around first. There's a flash. Alarms start blaring in your cabin. Your plane has been hit. Hydraulic failure. Engine failure. As your aircraft plunges toward the ground you clearly see the outline of a Leopard 2A6. A German tank in Kursk in 2024. Just before you hit the ground you hear "Afuera!"
