Well you can't just throw a stock engine in your Postal Van if you are doing a 6 liter LS swap. So in this video we are going to do a bunch of performance upgrades to our 6.0 including a cam kit, headers, intake manifold, and gain some ground clearance from an oil pan swap. We also install a new pair of seats and an awesome shifter. Can't wait to hear this beast fire up for the first time!
Sorry but I did not receive the link in time but you can go to holley.com and here are the part numbers of what we used in this video.
2702 MSD Atomic intake manifold
2709 Throttle body adapter MSD
22-101 Holley water pump
70101503-3HKR Hooker headers
302-2 Holley swap oil pan
550-927 Holley Terminator x max
145-160 Holley throttle pedal
81052 BandM shifter
80836 BandM shifter cable 12ft
2720 Msd fuel rails
You can get your own cam kit at compcams.com it was #MK54-702-11
The scales we used are from proformparts.com

Josh you gotta buy a cheap glass bead blasting cabinet. I think harbor freight has a free standing one for cheap. Buy extra nozzles because you will need them. No grease or oil in the cabinet. Their glass beads work but they are like factory seconds. I use fine grade.

@Sleeperdude Bey Man your going to want to install a skid plate for that oil pan and exhaust headers. I mean quarter inch plate bent with a brake should be just enough if a skid plate. But I would customize for MAXIMUM AIR FLOW!!! lol...

you can rub power steering if you use an electric nematic pump and ram drive setup. Kind of like the setup you would find on an off road rock crawler.

Congrats on getting your permit Wa. Impeccable. If it were me, I would have found some swivel captain chairs out of a conversion van, for the front seats, or maybe find an entire set, so you have nice matching seats. A little tip I said on your last video, for making holes in your carpet for seatbelts and bolts, is you take a punch, same size as your bolt, heat it with a torch, and poke it through. It makes a perfect hole, and melts the edges, so the bolts won't twist up in your carpet, and the edges won't frey. Great video guys.

@@RobertDickens2002 it's a great trick. I learned it when I remodeled houses. I have the same type of trick I used for vinyl floors only I used a pipe, instead of a punch. I had pipes of different sizes that I put handles on, (so your hand doesn't get hot) and I used them to make perfect holes around water pipes and such. You just have to be careful not to heat it too much.

Love this bug! Some of the mods we used to do to our bugs back in the day, flip the wheels, it'll give you a wider stance and better handling. We also used to put a Camden compensator on the rear axel, basically a huge leaf spring, it keeps the independent suspension from tucking under, again better handling. Holley used to make a package called a "Bug Sprayer", it included a header, glass pack muffler and a adapter to put a 4 barrel on the engine. Have fun!

I also have a new found appreciation for mail people. Plus, my husband is from England, and all this time I thought the gas, clutch and brake pedals were opposite in right hand drives, but he corrected me today. Y’all also inspire great convo. ❤️❤️🤣🤣

A good way to prime ls engines is to pull the allen head galley plug on the front driverside of the block. That goes right into the oil pump and all the gallies. I used a garden sprayer with a piece of hose over the end of the sprayer and inserted into the hole behind the plug. Just pump the sprayer up and let it fill the engine. You can watch the oil come out of the rockers, and you know it made it all the way up.

Well done wa wa. Its always nerve racking driving the first time on the road. I drove my father's 18ton Bedford truck on the road when I was 15, cos he got sick while we were out. I drove 200 miles from.lkndon to Leeds, every part of my body ached afterwards. He felt better by the time we got to Leeds, so he took over the rest of the trip, and I went to sleep. 😊 Well done again.👍

Thank you.. yes it was. I'd like to add, that I only drove at night times after that so as not to draw to draw attention to the driver, it was in the 80s. I drove for four years after that till my father passed away due to cancer. I still miss him dearly, we made a great team. Family is so important. Cherish every second just as you and your wife are doing, you should all be very proud of yourselves, you are a beautiful family, and I wish you all the happiness the world has to offer. Take care, see yall next time round.👍🤟

I had a 179ci Holdn straight six bored to 192ci with a 25/65 cam solid lifters, stage 2 Yella Terra head, a Holley 500cfm 2barrel carb, 2 inch extractors and a 2.5 inch single exhaust system with two big Lukey mufflers and it could rev to about 6500rpm and could top out at 135 mph. I had fun beating V8s back in 1976-77, lol. It was in my 1962 EK Holden utility.
You Can't Even Buy These Mufflers In The United States!
